Mike - good call to mention wader safety. Kid went fishing and died. It is a tragedy. RIP and condolences to his family. Personally I avoid wearing waders and use muck or marsh boots most of the time. When I wear them I use a belt and I put my jacket on first and waders over them so if I have to I can get out of them faster. Does anyone have any feedback or suggestions on this tactic?
I haven’t tried that but sounds good. I rarely fish jetties but never wear waders when I do. Typically open beach I use boot waders and in the bay stocking foot with an elastic belt and a heavy canvas belt that has plier holders etc
In regards to the blue fine tuna report on the south shore beaches of montauk, are we talking about surfcasting or from boat!? Imagine from shore. Wow!
