Listening was always my biggest enemy during my English journey, but that was because I didn't take the initiative to listen to a podcast, watch TV shows and movies, or consume whatever content in English. I just did the listening exercises on Duolingo (huge mistake). Since I listen to English content (with and without subtitles) every single day, I started to understand what the speakers were saying gradually.
My recommendation is to begin to listen to content about English learning because English teachers (native or not) put more attention and emphasis on their pronunciation, which makes the experience more understandable and enjoyable (at least for me). Eventually, you'll be able to listen to podcasts, or watch UA-cam videos about any topic with more confidence because you'll recognize the basis of English speech.
Nothing else to say, thank you, guys!

i think that learning can be compared with such idioms as blood, sweat and tears or no pain or no gain because it takes much time to learn English from the scratch . Your videos speak to me so much because of its well structured planning and conducting a video lesson. I suppose that your channel gives me a great opportunity of practicing listening skills and as well as vocabulary ones. I've been learning English for 6 years and i'm still trying to learn it deliberately.

I am a prep student right now in university. I am an indermatiade level, and I really want to improve my English because my deparment's education language is 100% English. I started to watch FRIENDS with English subtitles .The first I note the words that I don't know their means, after I memorized I watch without substitles. Also, I started to watch your Learn English with TV Series channel. I take notes while watching. I am in a little bit trouble actually because my mind is a litle bit confused. I've seen many ways to improve your listening skill, speaking skill, and all of them say different methods. When I find something new method, I wanna try this because I think this can be work this time. I try to study regularly because I really want to do this in a right way. So I started to watch your podcast videos today, and I hope these videos will be helpful for me. These have substitles,so it is so much easier for me to follow what you said in the video. Also I will try to continue to watch this podcast and videos from the other channel. I hope I can do it .

I think I can survive when the zombies invade the world because I have many talents to keep myself alive. I learned these skills during a school camp when I was 16, and now that I'm 20, I can still remember them. The skills I mentioned earlier include using any kind of stick to attack or defend yourself from enemies and building a shelter using any kind of material you find etc. And I think the most important thing to keep your brain alive because if you don't your brain alive, you get depressed and lose your motivation to alive and finally you would die alone...

Hello guys, thank you very much for this lesson, I hope to continue learning English with you, I am writing from Peru but I was born in Venezuela, if I am honest, I used the English translator 25% of the time, so I also used Captain Jack's phrase Sparrow, the problem is not a problem, the problem is my attitude towards the problem, so I am here with my best attitude to learn English with you, I really appreciate the time you take and your willingness to help all of us.

Another awesome podcast. Thank you for share this lesson to us. By the way, I wanted to know what Ethan meant when he interrupted Thiago saying "just/those word chunks, right?" just here: 14:12 . Was because Thiago got off topic a bit or something? I'm not sure about it. I'd like to know what "just/those word chunks" means in this case.
