- I was just sitting near Tractor Supply and Walmart in Iron Mountain, Michigan filming what I could see as I sat in my car and I was approached by 2 women from New Jersey who "ran out of gas and food".. What did they want from me? Why were they screaming at me? What did I do wrong?
Then they came back again hitting my car and yelling at me.. Filming me with her iPhone! Wait.. She has an iPhone and they're broke? The third time the whole family came over, even the kids were yelling as things got heated very quick. They kept telling me they were calling the boys in blue but never did as they left town real fast. What did you just watch? I hope you could tell me!
Have you ever heard little kids speak like this? All I can say is wow!

Thank you so much for posting this! I saw them, too. Took pictures and the man holding the sign (which I've seen elsewhere--must be what they are told to write) grabbed his crotch in an obscene gesture when I stopped and took pictures. I called the sheriff. They told me to call Iron Mountain Police Dept. I did and the dispatcher said the cops were at the jail but she would let them know. This is maddening and I am grateful that you have exposed this, Jason! You are a community hero, in my mind!

They were in Stockton last week and before that I was told they were in San Jose a week before that and had New Jersey Plates
Besides the nice van, hasn't missed a meal, cell phone, this is their job. I've seen people on the streets pretending they are blind, then get up & use the blind stick, walk to their car several blocks away then drive away.. A friend had a person outside his building beg all day then take rapid transit to go home. When asked the guy says that's my job. All the money I get is tax free.

They have been down here at the tip of the Mitt, doing the same thing. They were driving an Escalade with "pimped out rims and tires," that alone were probably one two grand a piece! I wish I could have captured it on camera! It is becoming somewhat of an epidemic.

I ran off some from my work parking lot this spring. Then walmart ran them off. So they know they're not welcome in my area.

My damn landlord would ignore me telling him I'm not cleaning up after then throwing food and trash over the porch and now there's a rat infestation. People from the city heard their fake cries and they got money to put down for a house and I worked 6days a week to get zero help

When I lived in Tacoma there got to be so many panhandlers that I started carrying small jars of peanut butter to give out. If people were hungry they took it and said thanks. If they wanted cash, sometimes they would say no, thanks.

Technically, the only valid complaint would come from the owner of the property or a tenant, unless they brandished a weapon or physically assaulted you. If you know any of the management of any business in that complex, then maybe they could have you act as their watchman, so to speak, giving you cause and authority to be there. Is there a local newspaper or TV station that might be interested in the story? Nothing like investigative reporting to help spread the word of these scam artists. It's not like you're in it for the money, you're just raising awareness of a problem that affects everyone. Like they used to say on 'Hill Street Blues', let's be careful out there.
Hey, how did he know you record trains? He must have been in touch with someone local, or whoever he was talking to in one of the cars knew who you were. Since he did violate your space by sticking his finger in your camera, technically he trespassed on your property. I'd stop by the police station and talk to somebody - or maybe even Town Hall.

Here they are, making accusations against you (at least I thought that's what one of the women said), but you have proof on camera of the adults contributing to the delinquency of the minors. Interesting video, here you are just sitting in your car - you could be watching a video, for all they would be able to tell from that distance - minding your own business, and you come under verbal attack (more than once) in an incident that almost becomes physical. This entire video was not instigated by you, they were the ones who felt threatened. By 'threatened' I mean likely to be found out. What's interesting to me, Jason, is that all you're doing is recording actual events - whether it's panhandlers or railroad operations - things that anyone passing by can also observe, yet you come under attack for it from the ones responsible for them, whether it's panhandlers or railroad operators. If they weren't guilty, they wouldn't get so upset. They just don't want to be found out to be the problem.
I had a problem with the panhandle and homeless people there were asking people for money I called the police on them the police tuck care of the problem

I've seen these same people last month in Stockton California
I have no problem in helping those in need but I am aware of many panhandlers whom want nothing but bills not loonies/dollar or toonies/two dollars/coins. they would not call the police as they were slowing traffic.

I've seen these types of individuals in a strip mall entrance across from where I work security, seen one middle eastern woman out with a sign that read lost my job due to high cost of living, please help me and my four children with food, water or clothing anything helps!
