You’re absolutely correct on the fastness of the rooting process. Mine rooted in less than a week.
My concern is the variegation is absent, only burgundy leaves that hardens up to green. Do they ever come back?

Hi! I think I’ve experienced that before too. If you think it won’t come back, you can chop again to encourage a new growth and hope it’ll be variegated! 😁

Mine too rooted in a week. I didnt realize the seller sent me a rootless cutting and its expensive for me. Right now it's pushing fullmoons like pink, peach or orangy color. Hope it'll variegate soon like marbly. Hope it grows soon. I wanna sell some cuttings to get my money back. haha

@@powerhousecountry8209 hello it’s good to hear that your fallopia has rooted! As a fellow owner of this plant, I was wondering where this plant roots because I am so confused and have tried water, soilless media, moss and perlite, and I’ve failed at each attempt so far. They just dry and shrivel up in 2 days so I’m so confused.
      Thanks 😊

@@piratehunterzoro24 i received it in a small clear cup with stratum mixed with perlite and it in a cup with a cover and small holes. also inside the cup i elevated it with plastic with water so its kinda like receiving water close to the bottom and i put in on top of heatmat inside the ikea cabinet.

@@powerhousecountry8209 thank you for explaining your process :) the other question is, where does it root? At the bottom of the stem where you make the cut? Or more like a monstera where there is a node near an existing leaf?

Hi! Thank you so much! 🤍 Yeah I believe this is still pricey right now. I got this as a very small plant about a year ago and now it has grown so much. 🥹

Hi! Does this plant root from anywhere on the vine/stem similar to hoyas, or does it root from a node? I couldn’t really tell if you were inserting a node into your substrate or just the bottom part of a stem.
    Beautiful plant!

i got mine and its not rooted. im so nervous right now. huhuhu... how long does fallopia root? it's in stratum and i put in a cup for extra humidity with small holes on top and put it in a heatmat inside my ikea cabinet with growlights.

In my experience, they start rooting in a week. You did just fine! 🤍 I hope they root fast for you too! ✨

Welcome here! 💖 I haven’t seen a lot of information about this plant around just yet. But just based from a research attempt, it could be from Polygonaceae family under Reynoutria. 🤍
