This very thing is my motivation. We adhere steadfastly to the principles and ideals of which we're persuaded. If those things we've learned are incorrect, it is a very difficult thing to shed incorrect understanding. Knowing and having access to sources helps reduce the need to trust through the understanding and biases of others. However, there is also wisdom in counsel.

You should look up the "now faith" movement that made a strange interpretation based on the KJV rendering of Hebrews 11:1.

Hey Greek experts I got a question.
Is there different Greek words for “stake” and “cross” . I accidentally dove into that rabbit hole . I get how starose means stake but is there a DIFFERENT word that could have been used .
    Thanks guys

GODLY WISDOM IS GIVEN BY GOD. Does not depend from human strategies.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. (Proverbs 2:6-7 ESV)

Agreed. But yet, In the same passage you cite (Proverbs 2:2-4) we are called to seek for wisdom and search for it "as hidden treasures." Wisdom does not come mystically, but by applying ourselves to the study of the scriptures.
