    I have been there this year, on february 26th. Petra was amazing! February is a good time to visit Jordan and the Holy Land. 20-25 degrees of Celsius was there during the day.

      True. February is a good time to avoid the really hot days.

      @@MC-tm2uy Petra is almost impossible to compare with anything else. Truly beautiful, isn't it? Thanks for watching. I just got home from Kili and loved it. Torres Del Paine (Patagonia) may be the most stunning place in the world. I hope you enjoy the vids.

    Great video! I am planning to go to Petra and to hike one of trails. You said that the Al Khubtha trail had a lot of stairs going upward. Were the stairs steep and difficult to climb like the stairs to the monastery? Or did you find it an easier trail with medium difficulty?

    • @wordslikefire662
      @wordslikefire662  Рік тому

      Thanks! The initial ascent is steep, but nothing too terrible. The weather was colder for the season while I was there so that's definitely a consideration. In hotter weather it will be much tougher. Since I did it alone I may have also taken a longer route since I suspect there were quicker shortcuts.

      @@wordslikefire662 How would you rate the 800 steps leading up to the monastery? Would you say it is difficult or moderate?

    • @wordslikefire662
      @wordslikefire662  Рік тому

      The walk to the monastery is all the way to the back of the park. Around a 2 hour walk. A bit steep, but nothing too tricky assuming you take breaks.

    It is not high place for scarifies but it was high place for astronomy and follow up the stars that their trade and sail depend on, in addition to a small hole that was a water watch. Petra was the capital of a kingdom that include north of Saudi Arabia, Sinai Jordan , Palestine and south Syria.
