omg thank you for showing that positive reinforcement usually relies on TIMING!

Finally a modern trainer who understand that janking on the leash is useless. Positive reinforcement works faster and is way more fun.

I came from your shorts to your longer format videos and I have to say, I’d really love more in depth videos with a wider view if you can! It’s really informative and it would be nice

Me too. I watched a 1 minute short that said full video is on the channel, only to find the full video gives a measly 22 seconds more haha! I wouldn't really call a video less than 90 seconds a "full video".

Will you please talk more about the process of getting the dog to make the right decision? I'd love to do this but if my dog just chose to not react on her own I would obviously be rewarding that instead already

This is exactly what I’m dealing with. I just got a 5 month old Golden Retriever. She won’t walk on a leash, is having a hard time potty training and is a counter surfer. We just had our 3rd training class at the local Pet Smart. All they preach is positive reinforcement with treats. I’m doing everything they taught me. Nothing is working. They say don’t yell at her when she jumps up on the counter. Redirect her with something better. It works for about 2 seconds. I take her out side every hour and a half, I take her to her potty spot. I stay out there with her. She comes back in the house after 20 min and poops and pees on the floor. 😩 My next step is an in house trainer.

I have a question. I live in a rental development. I do not have a slip leash. I just have a cord leash, and I’ve just been walking my dog with his collar, no harness and a leash. We have to walk to an area where he can go to the bathroom because he knows that he can go to the bathroom there on the walk there he pulls more on the walk back. He does not pull as much and it’s easier to reward him for his behavior of walking beside me on that walk back from the dog bathroom area. Why does he pull more on the way to it? is it because he needs to go? Should I get a slip leash?

The leash won't make a difference. Dogs are bad at physics so they do not understand the concept of the more you pull, the tighter it becomes.
Loose lead training and using high reward treats for on the way, will go a long way to help you with leash tension.
Your dogs pulls because they become excited to mark. Marking (peeing, pooping and rubbing their feet on the ground) and sniffing other dogs marks is a huge part of dog culture. For them, it's a super important and fun part of the day.

Why do you do board to train? Doing that means the owners don't learn anything themselves, so you set them and the dog up for failure because they'll likely go back to whatever they were doing wrong before.
