    I would say plan EXTRA spare times for bathroom breaks and unexpected situations. When my family of 6 visited disneyworld they haven’t have the chance to visit all the area and rides of the park, but they dam sure visited all the bathrooms there in a day.

    Eating at 3:00 to 4:00 is completely impossible for me especially when I’m at Disney. Since I’m excercising and having fun I burn way more energy during the day so even a good breakfast wouldn’t be enough. I have to have a lunch and then a nice sit down restaurant. Unfortunately I can’t avoid the crowds although I do agree that it’s a problem.

    I just got back for a week. It was my 2nd time in the 2nd week in Oct. and never again as it's too crowded. But there was no rain all week and last year it only rained about an hour at Magic Kingdom and this was all week. Rise of the Ressistance has been open for a few years and it's still a long line. I was lucky I got a disability pass and I didn't last year. I would have had to wait 70 minutes if I didn't get a disability pass and last year I waited 80 minutes.

    • @Arobert1673
      @Arobert1673 7 місяців тому

      I wouldn’t sweat it. If you happen to align with the very first day, just pick a different park to go to that day. Since it’s just a re-theming, I don’t expect it will drive insane business. I expect all the other MK rides will have reasonable wait times.
      Since it sounds like your trip is already planned, I think you’re in luck. Overall Disney World attendance is down from 2022, which also means way shorter wait times! We were planning a trip for early 2020 and it seems to me that wait times have never made it all the way back to the extreme waits before the pandemic. Now, and likely for the next few years, I think we will continue to see much shorter wait times than 2022, the most recent peak wait times.

    • @CritterKeeper01
      @CritterKeeper01 7 місяців тому

      If it's really crowded, they may extend park hours that day. They did when my trip ended up being on Pandora's opening weekend! It was crowded, but they were open until 2am so I still got to see everything. And when I was there on Splash Mountain's last day, the crowds hung around maybe an hour after the usual hour-past-closing end of the day. Sure, shops closed, but I could still check out the castle and the anniversary statues and such!

    I tried going to Disneyland during Christmas week in 2013. The weather was sunny and quite warm, 30 degrees above normal and much more summer than winter, even for Anaheim. Unfortunately that also made for insane crowds. While I wasn't there on Christmas Day, every day the place was so packed that I couldn't even walk from Main Street into Adventureland...the archway was literally completely blocked by a thick wall of people who also couldn't move. Ended up spending 5 of 6 days in DCA instead, which was only slightly better. No ride had under a 90 minute wait. I will say though, that the New Years Eve show and parades were all completely worth it that one time, even though I had to walk back to the hotel because the shuttle stops were all backed up. However, I will never be going to Disney during that week ever again.

    • @letskeepitreal601

      Never plan Disney for the holidays, especially if you don’t like crowds. We are retired and enjoy going off season. When kids are in school works best for us. Disney World in Florida is awesome.

    • @paul16451
      @paul16451 7 місяців тому

      @@letskeepitreal601 I've been many times since. Unfortunately there is no "off season" any more. When I visited the second week of September back in 2005, the entrance line was only 20 people deep, nothing had more than a 15 minute wait, and my wife and I were able to do the whole park in a day, and DCA in another day. We were even able to call Blue Bayou direct from our hotel and reserve dinner for the next day! Now THAT was a great trip experience!

    I am so disappointed. It is repeatedly stated on this site that the value of your WDW tickets never expires - but that's not totally true. I had a 6 day ticket package from a year ago, but only used 5 of those days. The remaining ticket cost is no longer available to use. According to a cast member, using just 1 day of a ticket package means that the remaining tickets will expire within a year. There is no "associated" cost of the ticket that can be applied to a future trip. Who knew?

    • @lacee7494
      @lacee7494 7 місяців тому +4

      Dude they have never said you can partially use your tickets. The terms on the ticket are clear as well. Your ticket value does not expire if you don't use it. The ticket will, but the value on an unused ticket could be carried forward. But if you used it? You used it. You have X days to use the ticket from first scan depending on ticket length.

    I have a weird thing Disney does that I’ve never seen DFB comment on, along the sickness lines…
    I was sick for two days during our vacation in Oct 2022. I laid in bed at Art of Animation for the whole of those two days while the rest of my family went to the parks.
    In the first day there was a knock at the door, so in my underwear I cracked it open. It was a hotel employee who said they were sorry to disturb but they needed to check the room. I told them I was ragingly sick and in my underwear so they probably didn’t want to come in, and could they come back later, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer and told me to put some clothes on so he could do a quick check. He was checking faucets and tapping walls and being really sketchy. I asked if anyone had reported a problem, he said no and asked if the faucets and fridge and outlets were all working. It was super bizarre. Then he left and I collapsed back into bed.
    When my husband got back from the parks he was freaked out and called the front desk because he didn’t think it was Disney Hotel staff that had come to the door, but they confirmed that it was. He directly asked them in several ways what had happened, and they dodged his questions.
    The next day I’m laying in bed sick and exactly the same thing happened. A different employee came and did the same thing. Again, when my husband came home he called the front desk to let them know he didn’t think it was ok for me to be woken up and told to dress when I’m so sick I can’t even go to a Disney park, and that he wanted to speak to the manager. While he was still very vague, the manager alluded to the fact that every room is checked every day, whether people are in there or not, for security reasons.
    So, if you’re sick in bed at a Disney World hotel, don’t expect it to be completely restful 🥴

The bus to the airport is 2 and a half hours but only $4. I don't buy suveniors. I don't need them. I got 2 shirts I wanted on line. I have never met anyone who booked so long of a Disney Vacation that they said "lets leave the parks and go do something else", we will have plenty of time to see everything later. The parks are way too expensive to leave in the middle of the day.

      Probably not cause at Disneyland (Anaheim) the new ride Runaway Railway got added to the normal Genie+ and even the Guardians ride which was a retheme of Tower of Terror is also on Genie+ and it’s one of the most popular rides there so I would guess that Tianas new ride would not be a Individual Lightning Lane in the future or probably just be paid for a few months then added like Runaway Railway.

    Disney has always been lauded regarding how they handle lines and cues, but I find that is no longer the case-unless you are willing to pay for it. My biggest concern is when there are far too many people, and that happens more frequently these days, is should there be a major event or emergency, there will undoubtedly be people trampled to death trying to exits the parks. How Disney gets away with overcrowding, which should be regulated by code, is a thesis to be written by a future Graduate student.

      I've been 12 times, and I must say I'm used to the clutter when leaving the parks. It's like any other venue after a performance or park closing, even an event at a coliseum, it's all normal and expected there is no difference. I usually ride a park bus when leaving, but the best time to leave is before any firework shows that night pre crowd, or go late after everyone has cleared out, maybe grab those last minute snacks and catch the tail of the crowds.

      @@CoachEarl It’s not leaving the parks that concerns me, it’s while in the parks. There is an ocean of strollers everywhere-parked or otherwise; a sea of people sometimes moving, sometimes not; over capacity of just about everywhere. Disney is a fantastic place to visit with children, if only to see their excitement, but in many ways it’s the adults, whom now place too much credence of themselves over the children, that make Disney lost to me.

      Ah I see what you mean, it has been flooded, but they tried to limit attendance, and also raised prices while limiting the number of ppl allowed in the parks. I think it really depends on when you go and what events are going on. March tends to be good for me. Or may. It's always random with crowds. But it's only ever bothered me maybe once on my vacations, I expect crowds to an extent. Everyone has diff views I guess on what is too much. Disney will always be some form of packed.

      I went to the 24h extravaganza at Disneyland years ago. I'm sure the crowd was against fire code, left at midnight.

    No thank you. Too expensive. Too crowded. Too complicated.
    We once had Disney World down to an artform, including the old FastPass. But now, all videos and descriptions make it sound way too much trouble to bother with. I'd rather go to Busch Gardens.

      @@Gloria-ro4vn I don't think Disneyland is cheaper, it's just so much smaller. You can see and do it all in a couple of days. At Disney World you need a solid week and still won't see and do everything, not even close.

      If you are a coaster/thrill ride lover there are lots of other places to go. I can't ride those things, and we have a toddler in the family, so Disney is a WAY better choice for us.

      @@lacee7494Sorry that isn’t true. I don’t know what your talking about. You can easily still do all of Disney world in less than a week.

      @@kaitlinschwarz3644 so you do each park for one day, or maybe 2 days at MK. You would still have to go from park open to close to see and do it all. And you still haven't done Disney Springs or anything else on property. Most people want some rest time in the afternoon or a non-park day to break up the week. Now if you don't have small kids and can go all day and late into the night. OR you only care about the big rides and never take time to watch shows or parades. Or you just eat quick meals and never spend time doing sit down or character meals.....sure, YOU may be able to do everything YOU want to do in less than a week. But for people making a once-in-a-lifetime trip who want to see and do it all it's hard. We have never been the kind to make rope drop, stay until park closing, and get up and do it again the next day and the next day and the next day. Vacations are supposed to be fun.

    Any day that ends in a “y” is a great time to not be at Disney World.
