My dad died suddenly when I was 13 at 41 with 3 older sibs. We too had an argument right before he went away for the weekend and I never got to see him again. Not even at the funeral. Watched out my bedroom window for years to see if it was him coming around the corner at 5 pm. I always say "I Love You" when ever I am closing a conversation with either my kids or my grandkids, even if I'm not happy with them.
I hope you've made your peace, I know almost every parent just wants their child to live a happy, fruitful life. He'd want nothing more for you than that and I hope it's that way.

Three breaks after 11 minutes. I watched a 30 minute interview the other day and there were 5 commercial breaks and thought that was a lot. One wonders what YT will be like in another couple of years.
I just got my dog, Skylar, his Service Dog certificate for Emotional Support. Two of my brother-in-laws, Chris & Kevin, my sister, Jeannie, & my rescue Pom, Bon Jovi, all died within 8 months. Combine that with the lockdown & I developed a deep depression until I got my new Pom - we “rescued” eachother. You cannot be lonely or depressed when you see their darling, happy face all day. 🙂

My sons get "protection from bullies" by having more than 8 years of jujitsu training. The older son had a guy from the wrestling team harassing him when my son refused to do his algebra assignments. He was threatened, "I'll meet you at ____ after school and kick your ____." My son's response was, "Oh, good, I'd LOVE to see you try." The other kid stated that he'd bring along his friend from the JV football team, so my son said, "Even better, I'd really like to see him try too." I guess that throwing around large adult men with 5th degree blackbelts for years makes you rather confident that there isn't a jerk in high school that you need to worry about-and confidence is most of the battle for these bullies. The bullying stopped right then. If your kids are being bullied, get them some self-defense training. The confidence alone is often enough to stop things, and if it isn't they have the ability to stop it if it gets physical.
Good interview hosted by respectful male with a classy female. Yes, a lot of ads, but the content was worth it to me, and I know how to skip the ads after 5 seconds. Dennis Prager said it pretty well. Americans used to value freedom above all, now we value comfort and leisure. We did this to ourselves by allowing too much government power and intrusion into our lives. There are some good quotes out there about the price of ease being liberty.

In medical school I INTENTIONALLY invited in the person who "checked the box" because there is NOTHING that will let you know if you have a grasp on the material like teaching it to someone else. Even more, this was a very stubborn and overly proud person-even after having failed out of the program at least two pervious years (my school didn't allow this for anyone who "didn't check the box"-it was one failed class per semester, make it up during summer or you're gone-permanently). I not only had to try to teach it, but I had to convince this person that what they THOUGHT was the answer really wasn't correct. Not surprisingly, this person failed out again during my first year...and was back again the next year for a fourth try. I guess that it was good that they were getting a FULL scholarship plus living expenses or that might have REALLY caused a lifetime of hurt for the student.

Funny enough, I was at Tory Pines Golf course during a tournament. We had a room on the upper floor. I was in a hurry to catch up with my brother and my stepdad, so I was coming down the stairs at a high rate of speed and at the bottom as I was going for the door, it opened I flu thru right into Gerald Fords big belly. I bounced off of him and hit the floor. Then as I looked up I had a guy next to him with a hand reaching for his gun. I just froze. Mr. Ford asked if I was ok, I said yes maybe a little stunned , and apologized. He was very nice and apologized to me as well. I never expected to meet anyone at the tournament, much less Gerald Ford and his bodyguard. But just the way it happened, are the things I my life time that only happen to me. Any way that's my brush with a very large political figure, no pun intended. LOL...

My life changed a couple weeks ago when I installed an ad blocker. I was so fed up with YT's "algorithms" for my ad profile and their alleged "ad controls". I even contacted Google over the phone finally and their response was "oooo yea, we are so aware of this issue and we are working so hard to resolve this issue. We know it is frustrating so hang in there!" And of course they were pitching their paid service to me. That was the final trigger to get the ad blocker installed.
This was a fantastic conversation. It was also quite surprising seeing Megyn's vulnerability speaking about her upbringing on the loss of her father and how it impacted her life. She's pretty badass, so it was fascinating to see this side of her. She is also as articulate but relatable in her perspectives on the various topics. She's smart, but her points are easily digestible. Adam did spend a lot of time talking about Megyn's looks, though.
It was interesting hearing the conversation about looks in the news industry. Honestly it was Megyn Kelly's attractiveness that started my crush on her, but it was her intelligence and sense of humor that transformed that crush into respect. What Megyn said about COVID, that's how I feel. It has nothing to do with how Trump thinks. But yeah, I'm done. Did what we had to do. The FNC Smart Blondes: Kelly, Greta van Susteren, Laura Ingraham, Steve Doocy, Peter Doocy, Trace Gallagher. The Smart Blondes take on the trope about blondes in the media and absolutely trainwreck it. Note that the female contingent are all married. (I am single.) BECAUSE of the fact that the female contingent are all married, the chances of my making a pass at ANY of them are absolutely zero. (I respect marriage way too much to the point that I couldn't even have satisfactory sex with a woman about to divorce her husband. Yes - it happened. Soon to be ex even knew it. Didn't blame her - or ME for that matter. Yet I couldn't close the deal. Also, she's a frigging LAWYER; for that reason alone, she has me well and truly waxed in the brain department. (Note that Greta and Laura are also lawyers. Therefore, they are anything BUT "dumb blondes".)

Carolla is an amazing interviewer - smart, erudite and able to elicit truths from whomever he is interviewing. Who knew Megyn was sensitive much less even human ... to listen to her bountiful critics. Great stuff. And the fact that he is flirting with Kelly is just a bonus.

What Megyn said about COVID, that's how I feel. It has nothing to do with how Trump thinks. But yeah, I'm done. Did what we had to do. I'll wear a mask if I have to, to do what I gotta do, but I'm ready for our country to be opened again. Regarding Megyn's looks, she's freakin beautiful..she may not see it but she is. Adam is funny, and made good conversation.😁👍
