The Canada Post van also had released with it, a full size semi truck. It's also horrendously expensive. The printed Canada Post Bricks are very rare and pricey
They don't sell as often as you'd think, especially not to someone who will keep them. I very heavily suspect people that resell on whatnot will try to flip exclusives like that hyping up the price beyond what they paid. If not I've got nothing. Lego has gone wild with the way some people collect.
I think exclusives are good for any collector, it gives us something to chase, something to dream of, something to work towards. However I dont like the insane prices some come with like how can you justify a $4000-6000 lego set when for most people you can pay rent for about 5 months with that. But yeah there always needs to be that crowning jewel for any collector :D. anyone reading this should look up the most valuable stamps (for stamp collectors). The joke is that stamp collectors are often potrayed as boring, but when you dive into what they see as a collector it gets so real so fast lol.
Did anyone else notice that his minifigure changed. At the beginning of his video it was his old one with a starting to fadeone away torso. Then near the end the torso looks brand new. And also the new torso was used in the thumbnail.
rarely have i ever felt like being friend with someone on youtube ,but watching these videos make me feel sad each time we didnt grow up shoveling money to lego together xD
I live in the Netherlands so had quite a few promotional Shell sets. The idea of Lego partnering with an oil conglomerate is still wild to me but they went really well together with Town. One banger that I never owned and was also exclusive is Set 2140-1 ANWB Roadside Assistance Crew. It's such a funny partnership and the vehicles designs were also reused for the shell sets.
I'm into LEGO and transformers, but my vice right now is Warhammer 40k. I'm neck deep in 2 armies, and boy am I overwhelmed lol. Games Workshop also uses the FOMO tactic.
Man seeing those Shell Exclusives unlocked some ancient memories. I got most of them back in the day and it was always super exciting. The bike was my first ever technic set and as a 6 year old it was way too different for me to wrap my head around, i swore off technic for another 5 years hahaha. When I did eventually build it I was very impressed by the rubber band suspension.
I actually had the Robo Raider set as a kid, pretty sure I got it at either Providence Place mall in Providence, or it might have come from a mall in Boston (I lived in CT at the time and trips to those cities were special events for my family, so I usually came back with a LEGO set or two). That line was so small and short-lived that I didn't even remember it until like 15 years later when I was trying to catalogue every set I'd ever owned and rediscovered it in a list of old sets.
Your robot and the two-man space ship mentioned towards the end of the video are a couple of favourites from my childhood. I don't know if they were in any way exclusive, but here in Australia my parents would have picked those up for me fairly easily in the late eighties in a standard toy or department store.
I brought my wife , last year ,to Denmark 🇩🇰 made her tour Lego “Home of the Brick” etc etc .....then we went to Holland, where I met a guy with all sorts of one offs in his collection. He even had store exclusive sets from stores that opened in China. Another trick thing he had was a connection at one of the factories in Hungry, where he was also able to get a lot of one offs.......crazy - he had a Mr. Gold with the certificate and the Gold 3CP-0....I thought I was a collector -I found out there are very serious collectors out there. ( and yes his wife was home and probably didn’t know the extent of this collection). I was glad to see I’m not the only one with the “sickness”.
A few months ago i was at a collector con, stumbled upon a booth selling magic the gathering cards and found revan in a bin with a bunch of kylo ren shuttle polybags, for $9! I told the guy selling it that it was much more valuable than he was selling it for, but $9 is what he sold it to me for, and thats how i have my most expensive lego item.
great video Robrick! Do you have Every Shell Promo set? I have felt the urge to collect them sealed, but if you already did that I think I can not worry about it 😂
8:16 I had the Technic bike and my brother the boat! For my country it was quite rare to bring these, since in Latin America not only Lego new releases come months later, but almost DOUBLE expensive. I have almost all the pieces of these two, but some of them in not a good state or mixed in my MOC vehicles. The Technic bike wasn't bad, it was easy to build.
Excellent banger as always! Just wanted to let you know, don't let your viewership or the numbers tell you how much you are appreciated. Your content is entertaining and a breath of fresh air in the Mr.Beast-knockoff-ridden landscape of LEGO UA-camrs. Keep at it, you'll get the recognition you deserve. In meantime, let the good comments carry you through... and work on the LEGO room for your wife's sake. 😆
Airline executives were a thing for awhile too. I have the EL Al version of the passenger jet it wasn’t cheap on the secondary market either. Some of the exclusives are the exact same but some where the same set with exclusive stickers. I got the hideout as a promo and a second one on BL so I could have a few around my house.
The Shell promotions are goated I have a few promotions myself, mostly polybags The Toys R Us Rocket Racoon Plastic Man Super Lex Luther Chrome Stormtrooper A Toys R Us mini pagoda build for the Ninjago Movie And my absolute favorite, the Silver Centurion Iron Man from Gamestop
I was wondering if you could do a video talking about space police. The dreams school bus has space police three references and that’s my favorite version. I’m not saying to buy the sets just chat about it.
I am so happy i am not into batman or marvel. Lego star wars looks cool, but somehow if it has Star Wars on it, the price for a set has to increase 100 euros. I like old stuff more then the new stuff. Reason why i had to buy second hand 4559. The cargo railway that moves Minifigures as cargo. How cool is that!?
well yesterday after empty mine mother house (she did passed 5 months ago) i did found small lego box out 1994 to 2001 some have saving points on it so that you getting free lego.
lego pledging to stop doing regional exclusives is hilarious, the first 501st battle pack never released in australia, as did the january 2021 lego star wars wave.
Thank the First Spinjitzu Master your alive, I thought your wife had murdered you after seeing the comment section on the last video and was taking a long time to hide the body.
Hey man, from an unhinged collector to another, is it okay to buy into Lego Minecraft specifically the Lego Mountain cave? I may have the money and also a loving wife who ‘supports’ my hobby. So yeah I have the money, I just need opinions.
While I am certainly one to be pro exclusives or limited release stuff I absolutely despise the way lego has gone about some stuff over the years. Is it a bummer not everyone can have a SDCC set or minifigure? Yea, but for the people that can go there and could go through the miserable auction process to get one, power to you, incredible souvenir from a experience you probably wouldn't forget. But WHAT those exclusives are is where its a bit of a bust. A well known version of a character shouldn't be stuck under specific circumstances. The latter SDCC sets did a good job of having Exclusives based on current media that didn't seem overly necessary elsewhere. But here we are now in 2023 and exclusives in America a just about non-existent. SDCC stuff is dead (for the better, I can agree thats fair) bundle sets are few and far between usally being SW multipacks of sets the majority of fans already own. The issues I and others have now come down to Lego house exclusives being stuck in a similar to SDCC scenario with the only thing keeping them from being insanely valuable being resellers being prevalent getting the sets sold to those who want them, but they still should be available online at retail to open the opportunity to own them to other lego fans, especially sets like the pirate that has no immediate connection to the attraction. The European minifig foil bags though have no real excuse. When they are sold with a magazine they sold like crap in the americas, but with recent interest and growth in the hobby Lego is being mildy ignorant not just selling them as polybags over here. The "licensing action figure issue" is completely null at this poing too being proven false multiple times. Otherwise exclusives are FAIR because if someone is willing to pay to get them they will continue. And as long as exclusives are around ANYONE can put forth the effort to get them. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
Lego use to do a lot of fomo. Like the mini figure of Martian manhunter. If issuse is that now their doing full blow sets. It’s fine for more niche things like parts packs or play zone pirate ships. But when you make successful sets from successful themes gift with purchase. While letting vydio clog store shelfs. It feels like a hypocritical cock slap in the face.
It's alright with Lego sets being expensive to me I don't really mind mostly the one that I'm still after is the mega construct Halo anniversary pack that comes with all the different color Spartans that came out years ago and besides I spent probably about $600 last week on the same Lego speed champions sets just for parts and pieces like I always do and I'm only 19 Legos mean a lot to me but I grew up with mega construx Legos came into my life at when I turned 11 years old but I'm obsessed with mega bloks I got varieties of different sets from call of duty Halo dragons universe destiny but that one set I'm still after is the Spartan tribute pack hopefully one day I can get it
Also I don't do any of that I don't have a job yet I dropped out at the age of 16 and mostly I just spend my time cutting grass which I make probably about twenty to thirty dollars. Also there's one Lego set back then where it came in a Battle pack skeletons and nights I had a bunch of those
It always surprises me how expensive Lego can sometimes get.
He’s hasn’t uploaded in a month the wife must’ve got him
I like the self inserts in different costumes or sets. "Silly guy, you're not supposed to be there"
You know its a good day when Robrick uploads
I Challenge you to hide haslab unicron somewhere in the background in your next video!!! (nice to see you back btw! keep up the amazing work, mate!)
The Canada Post van also had released with it, a full size semi truck. It's also horrendously expensive. The printed Canada Post Bricks are very rare and pricey
7:15🤣🤣🤣 That's so true, it's painful.
Good work as always, I agree Lego has been the bane of my wallet for years.
I’m genuinely impressed sellers think they can make a sale with thousands of dollars/ quid, etc… let alone actually MAKE a sale
the insane thing is they actually make sales
Apart from the fact most sellers price theirs using the market price which means it generally sells at around that price.
They don't sell as often as you'd think, especially not to someone who will keep them. I very heavily suspect people that resell on whatnot will try to flip exclusives like that hyping up the price beyond what they paid. If not I've got nothing. Lego has gone wild with the way some people collect.
Sellers make sales when UA-camrs buy in an effort to make edgy videos spending outrageous amounts on LEGO.
Babe wake up. Robrik posted a video!

My dude so nonchalantly flexed his P2 Rex on all of us.

tell the Miss's i watch ur channel to tell MY Miss's i got inspiration and i NEED to do Lego RIGHT NOW ;)
great job man, you were the first video i clicked on when i saw my recommended keep it up!
lol Great work Robrick, your humor is awesome.

I think your videos are really improving over time! Keep it up dude, maybe one day your wife will understand the need for construction toys 💀
I actually had the Robo Raider set as a kid, pretty sure I got it at either Providence Place mall in Providence, or it might have come from a mall in Boston (I lived in CT at the time and trips to those cities were special events for my family, so I usually came back with a LEGO set or two). I had no idea Roboforce was US exclusive. I took that theme for granted.
A few months ago i was at a collector con, stumbled upon a booth selling magic the gathering cards and found revan in a bin with a bunch of kylo ren shuttle polybags, for $9! Shh Guys,
No one tell Robrick about the 1985 UNICEF truck set (106-1) that was exclusively given to ambassadors of UNICEF in the UN
I wonder if Robrick ever consider parting sets together I know I do as it is generally significantly cheaper.
Yep just checked everything bar the box, instructions and the two printed UNICEF panels comes in at just £20 or so.

Greatest Lego channel on UA-cam

Yesterday I ordered the Blacktron GWP yesterday for £20 on eBay
I went to my friends house yesterday, he had the CLASSIC RANCOR, the intrusive thought of stuffing it in my bag was intense
I’m happy your taking more time to make your videos.
The only rare/exclusive sets I own are the dvd bards son and the bricklink designer program castle in the forest.
Always happy to hear people criticizing Lego for their GWP practices on FOMO-based nostalgia bait GWPs
The ebay refresh grind is really the true hobby of lego collecting
New Zealand doesn't get anything exclusive, so I don't like exclusive sets
The Shell promotions are goated
I have a few promotions myself, mostly polybags
The Toys R Us Rocket Racoon
Plastic Man
Super Lex Luther
Chrome Stormtrooper
A Toys R Us mini pagoda build for the Ninjago Movie
And my absolute favorite, the Silver Centurion Iron Man from Gamestop
You do need the 1999 promo star wars set with the prototype Luke and Darth Vader
How do you like that unicron? I have studio cell version.
Best lego reviewer around.
The return of the king
Believe me, I wish Lego playsets weren't so goddamn expensive.
I was wondering if you could do a video talking about space police.
The dreams school bus has space police three references and that’s my favorite version.
I’m not saying to buy the sets just chat about it.
Can’t wait to be able to buy a house by selling my Lego Optimus prime with the box in 20 years
this is such a robrick moment 💪💪💪💪
Babe! Robrick uploaded!
Question: what is your profile picture?
...does that cosplay photo mean you like Critical Role or DnD? Or coincidence? As a castle fan I love DnD too
you think you will ever review lego media like the shows or movies?
amazing content as usual
I think posting every fortnight is fine. You don't have to push yourself too hard
Cool
The Shell exclusives should really be just castle sets. What were they thinking?
I am so happy i am not into batman or marvel. Lego star wars looks cool, but somehow if it has Star Wars on it, the price for a set has to increase 100 euros. No, seriously. How do you afford all this!?!?

Where do you get so much money, please tell
Here's a possibly dumb question. Is there anywhere online that lists all the sets that have been released over the years?
Brickset.
@@LiamTheLegend. Thank you.
@@andrewgwilliam4831 No problem boss.

Smyths has Optimus Prime for £110
What about bionicle good guy he’s an exclusive
I was about to buy the Christmas star wars x wing for 200 pounds then someone sniped it just as I was clicking buy now 😢

Lego Is So Expensive.
of course the UK bloke doesn't know what a baseball player is
Excellent and exciting videoN
I was famous once on YT, not this channel.
Keep it up & you will be.
Be careful.
👌
his biggest flex is not his thousands of dollars of rare lego sets. its the fact hes married WITh thousnads of dollars of rare lego sets
Why ARE they so expensive
Plastic 😎
Should’ve ranked every lego set ever made on price, very disappointed and my day is ruined.
*Why are Lego Sets So Expensive😉
Legitimate question. How do you afford all this while England is going through the worst cost of living crisis in its entire modern history?
