So did you install those v baffles at every new vent u put in? Your supposed to be able to go up in the attic and with the light off be able to see light coming from the soffett vents around the house.. bbut as far as proper air flow the thing is you want the soffett to be the intake and roof vents to be out take only.. when they start switching that up it creates either positive airflow or more moisture in the attic.. usually equates to a soffett vent every 10 feet and 2 roof vents for 1000 sq ft. Lastly a ridge vent is what goes on the very top part right on the arch of the roof. Gable vents are what come out of the top of the roof about 2 feet down from the ridge,., the amount of ridge vent you need depends on manufacturer which all give those specs on the packaging as well as gable vents. Turbine vents are good because tgey wont allow air to be let in , only drawback is you need to close them off mostly for the winter but they make automatic flaps that close using thermofluid dynamics which are non powered and automatic.. just a few things ive picked up. Been looking at ways to install baffles for existing soffetts myself. Not an easy task lemme tell ya but a necessary one..
So RN it's scorching in Texas, and we have a new ac, but the house isn't cooling down. Growing up, the house was never hot, so I was thinking, maybe the soffit vents need to be cleaned out?
We just bought a house. It seems that soffit(under eave)vents were installed along with a ridge vent when the roof was replaced. The only problem is that there are existing gables(3 of them) that did have the screens missing. No baffles to keep the blow in insulation off. I wonder if I should close off the gabels on the end
Is it just me or is the sound off from the video? It’s like watching a kung fu English dubbed movie haha
how does it goes when you install ceiling air vent out side the house?..does it make your attic more ventilated than before?...
Awesome my friend 4.lk from us
Thank you!
