I love the watch, but I feel weird that never ends when you wound the watch. At first, I'm thinking was a problem but I think it because they remove the rotor of the original movement that can't be overwound, right?
Exactly that. It’s a miyota 8000 series, and they’re factory-built as automatics so they cannot overwind. Removing the rotor does not change that.
But yeah It felt weird for me too though.
@@OldLineWatches good video bro, was the only one in the web that take this subject 🤟🏻
@@ibsengk It’s a really great watch. Yeah it’s from a zombie brand - when a company buys an old trademark and resurrects it. But they’re not just making a cash grab - they’re thoughtfully going through the older models and bringing them back for modern appreciation. I look forward to what @wolbrook has in store for the future.
Busy design, but interesting to see what different companies try to create.
That’s why I try to hit as many brands as I can. I could get more views doing a never ending queue of Seiko reviews but it would bore me to death.
I like the look of these but the worldtime bezels a bit pointless.
But if someone in an emergency needs to know what time it is in Tokyo, you can be a hero! Or just grab your phone…
@@OldLineWatches 🤣 Their Skindivers more like it and an auto I think,
I actually like the world time bezel. Nice watch, but the retail price is way too high for that movement.
I agree on the cost. eBay sales are showing 200-300 depending on the strap which feels a lot more in line with true value.
Does it wear big
it doesn't. Short lugs with reasonable curvature make it wear like true to the 40mm maybe even a little smaller.
Do you know a Mr. Gorithm a Mr. Al gorithm? 😅
Yeah, he was in my high school senior class with Hugh Jass and Phil McCreviss.
@@minnkonamike6658 last year, for like 4 months I kept getting call looking for a person named “Harry Loball” and I thought it was people messing with me. I did a little digging and he’s a real dude whose number was one off of mine. True story
Pity about the movement but a great review
