I’ve noticed optic is very slow to rotate in hard point. So many times I’ll see the whole team fighting for 10 seconds of scrap time while they are 50 points down

I love Kenny for this Optic team. The fact that he’s cognizant of the team’s flaws, and disappointed in their performance even after a win like that, is the right mindset.
There are huge areas of opportunity for Optic to improve, and it’s good to see he’s not satisfied with scraping by with some of these wins.
Optic’s hard point problem is much deeper than a bad weekend. Hey all are so good, and I understand map control is vitally important, but they spend so much time of hill when they have control and when they try to break, it’s literally the same break every time. Need team play, not individual plays.

@@cryogenic5498 So against Faze during Major 1 I think it was, Pred had a 1.17 overall. Shotzzy 0.97, Kenny 1.02 and Dashy 1.05. Pred has been carrying a GOOD few games during major 1 and 2 like I said. This was against the best team aswell. Pred deserves NO criticism if he has a slow series when we have others that have fallen short consistently. But ya know, guess you lot need someone to blame and it will never be Dashy. lmao

You have to remember OpTic also didn’t look that good during stage 2 qualifiers. They had the most maps played and went to 4 game 5’s then got 2nd. This has always been better on lan so far. Hoping this trend continues
Yeah, but these were clear cut bottom teir teams (litterally last place with a sub) and they were taken 5 and arguably could have lost the series. They gotta regain because this weekend was terrible in terms of expectations.

Major problem for optic is still their tendency to over challenge in gunfights or chase opponents when they could just be relayed to team mate closer to the said opponents, so they would end up losing position and map control part of the time. This is a mistake that would be hard to recover if they're playing agains Faze who does exactly the opposite. Also, I can't count how many times they've been shot running, not checking their corners. This is causing them to lose life and time in control and give up valuable hill time in HP. Imagine running halfway down the map to get to the objective only to be killed and start running towards it again. If taking time to clear the corners feels slow and time consuming, it's even more time consuming and frustrating having to respawn back where you started.

The Karachi hardpoint was the most I've been frustrated with Optic (and there are plenty of times they are frustrating). They have the gunskill to beat any team (including Faze) but they lose their shape and lose composure too easily. So many times in that hardpoint match they are solo chalking and not playing together. The fundamentals have been better since Kenny joined but they slip back to their old ways when under pressure. The reason they choked the end of matches vs Faze multiple times this season
I watched last nights video right before going to sleep, so I had a dream of watching a @tacticalrab video. In it rab reported that a player had a donut in all three maps in a game, which it was Asim. By the way, I usually start my day with a rab video and end my day with one also.
Do we know if he’s playing from a different location? Like we’ve only seen him play online so far. If he’s as bad at the major sure he deserves the slack. But Vegas being Vegas may have these players in different locations which can explain these performances.

Someone has to continue to post new interesting content to keep people engaged in the pro scene. Without that type of stuff there would be a falloff in viewership and if it fell off anymore it would end up getting shut down, make no mistake the second this league becomes extremely dead and super unprofitable they’re going to chalk it and then nobody gets paid. Optic and their content is saving a lot of these dudes from working at Mc Donalds with no CoD salary or major tournament prize winnings.

It makes you wonder if they don’t win a Major or Champs this year, and Pred continues to struggle, if you keep Dashy, Kenny, Shotzzy, and then sign Hydra in free agency since he’s in a contract year. Watching Optic play hardpoint is awful. It genuinely feels like they play 3v4 around the hill setting up rotations when you look at the minimap. You have Kenny and Dashy in their spots, Shotzzy holding spawns, and then Pred is mid map running around looking for people, which bites them in the ass so many times. When we got Pred, I was happy because he had a Scump like play style, which should pair with Shotzzy, because Scump knew when to slow down and when to push, but it feels like Pred’s timing is off with that. Might be a faded read, but that’s what I’ve noticed, and Hydra/Shotzzy probably would give you the best sub duo to copy the Simp/Abe sub archetype duo, with the slay potential to rival them. Or if Kenny ends up wanting to go back to LAT, or team up elsewhere, you can try Pred on a flex too, which may help with his pacing and he can also beam with an AR

Pred is like James Harden. He has a gimmick playstyle that he mastered that made him a superstar. In a vacuum, he's is a superstar. However, you put him on a stacked team in a different system, and he struggles finding a way to incorporate himself without costing his team points.

Paco needs a vocal entry sub, so you can't just pick up Estreal and expect it to work. Vivid was solid Major I, so he might allow this team to completely take over Toronto as the 3rd best team. Purj might allow Skyz to get loose. Sib was gross in Vanguard but last year he was pretty mid. I think he might be overrated

Not to say Pred and Dashy haven’t been good and had their moments but Pred is used to being THE superstar and rn he’s not THE superstar and he’s trying to adjust his play style according to how Shotzzy plays because you’re not making Shotzzy change he’s been your best player arguably. Once Pred fully figured out how to accommodate Shotzzy he’ll be back to superstar form

But i firmly believe he is getting shit on because of the way his coaches want him to play. We saw him playing in this game and he was shooting!! System cant fix a players ceiling. Asim is a top 12 pro/top of challengers player, if you put him into the faze lineup for drazah does asim become better? No, he just has the 3 best players in the game making him look better but his personal skill ceiling remains the same.

I agree Vegas has a system problem tho, personally i think its exaggerated with guys like Asim on the team who lack skill to pull off some miracles to save plays but that said i dont know why, in this current league, any team would seriously consider picking up Asim, if you are bottom 6, just take a gamble on a challengers player honestly going to probably work out better for the team.

I think OPTIC just looks for to many kills at times and push out on a rotation way to far sometimes. Don't get me wrong I understand if you push out and get the kills they spawn deep in this game but OPTIC doesn't get the kills most of the time and it makes the hills so much harder on them when if they would just rotate and play as a team on the first wave of kills then push out it would be so much easier for these guys
