People give Marine and Sui a lot of crap for their English, but they actually do pretty well for people who haven't studied English professionally. Even if their grammer isn't perfect, it gets the idea across just fine.
Ash Brown well, think of Japanese cusine in the US. Yes they do learn English, but after localization it’s not the same language--heck, even British English and US English are different, let alone Japanese
Ash Brown even if it is, “are ya winning, son?” Doesn’t mean anything. You’re using contextual clues to understand what he’s asking, with ya also being slang for you, on top of the fact that it’s a meme about a dad trying to relate to his kid. It’s like learning Japanese and trying to understand Gintama references through the conversation without subtitles. Probably not the best example, but we also don’t always structure sentences in the easiest way (or spell words correctly) for people to understand when we’re just chatting to someone.
@@Rixkie According to at least two "how is life in japan" channels I used to watch it is more like "they have english in school, but the teachers and methods are so bad they might as well don't".
I knew you were going to clip this stream, the entire stream was a goldmine of clip-worthy moments like this. www It's funny how this came in a spur-of-the-moment because she was slowly losing sanity throughout this stream, no matter what though, Suisei is cute as always!
Normal stream: audience and streamer communicating Vtuber stream: audience doesn't know what is going on but still enjoying Suisei stream: streamer also doesn't know what's going on but still enjoying
The moment I saw the stream I was like "Oh god not this again". Considering how she lost her sanity in the 2 previous streams, I'm actually surprised she decided to do a 3rd one. Doesn't look like she had made any progress tho, lol.
At 2:36, that was actually my comment during the livestream......MAN I NEVER THOUGHT SHE'D READ MY COMMENT AND SMILE MORE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Sui-chan goes crazy on what is definitely her *first* Getting Over It stream. This was also the first time I saw a Suiperchat Flood, though it's smaller than the ones that Coco gets on a daily basis.
Her english is honestly pretty good ngl That stream was a goldmine too! A japanese hoshiyomi asked her if she wanna get married lol Her reply: Huh? YADDA!!
The fact that Suinglish is anderstanable is really amazing. I’m quite surprised that she anderstood what “intonation” was. I definitely don’t know what it is in Japanese
Gotta love how hard they try to communicate with their overseas fans. It might not be perfect, but it's quite good and you can really see their efforts
Aburage115, you attributed that quote to Albert Einstein, but the commentor was right. Albert Einstein NEVER said "Doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity." The quote's source is unknown.
@@Aburage115 lol yeah there's a bunch of them like that. Like when people say Socrates said "When a man has lost an argument he resorts to slander" never said by him. Marie Antoinette never said "Let them eat cake" and actually THAT was started by a French playwright who wanted to have her beheaded! It worked, too.
Also, Robel is referring to Roberu, who is part of Holostars(the male division of Hololive). There's a joke in the community where we call him the "winning son".
Wow Suichan is a lot better at english than I thought, understanding a lot of vocabs. Also whoa, hololive members guests for bushiroad? are they streaming on their own channels or do i find the channel for the company?
