I have several citrus plants growing from seed but the oldest one is still only about three years old. I believe that they may fruit in another 2-4 years. In the meantime, I may try getting an air layered cutting from a family member who has a fruiting kumquat.

I know India has different climatic zones and one rule does not apply everywhere, but you can generally indicate which month for which seed. Also indicate the best time for cuttings, grafting and pruning.

I wish I would have seen this excellent video before I tried to transplant my dwarf kaffir lime from a garden bed into a pot (because I moved house), which hasn't survived. Thankfully, I know of a kaffir lime tree which I will try to propagate using your method. Ingenious !!

Very well explained sir, thank you. My father used to do a similar thing with rubber plants that were getting too tall. He would cut through the stem, coat the inside of the cut with rooting powder and then wrap in the dough and plastic the same way you did. Also 100% success. 👍
