I haven’t had an album make me shed a thug tear since 2pac’s “dear mama” “so many tears” “unconditional love” killer Mikes “motherless” “something for the junkies” made me also shed a thug tear too. I have recommend this album to at least 10 people and all 10 people loved this album. Shout out to Mike for this amazing piece of artwork

If you don't live out here,you'll never understand the conditions,and that goes for so many other places,that get put to the side. It's so easy to speak about a place where you have never lived or had your experiences from,it's dark in certain places and people struggle everywhere,My kids mother moved to Georgia just to leave Connecticut because the opportunity to live better is greater out there,i just wanna live in peace,and wherever that is or will be,I'm all for it💪🏾 Peace for me and hopefully others is soon to come,know matter where you find it at 🙌🏾
The point Mike is making about being from ATL is that it was/is all black. It's not about poverty but being able send your children to a school named after famous black ppl, all your teachers are black. Which instills a sense of pride in being black and what can be accomplished when black being do come together that no other city can say.

With all due respect Mike, you didn’t have to make an ignorant statement about blacks in Connecticut to fend off criticism of your album. We are your cousins who migrated from the south to work in factories for a chance to make a living. CT was not a melting pot or utopia handing out memberships to blacks, granting us a racism-free life. We were relegated to big cities like Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven with poor living conditions including notorious housing projects, severely underfunded schools, and lack of access to capital because of discrimination. We’ve had to scratch and claw for everything we have and still fighting many of these same battles today. Our grandparents brought their customs, traditions and pride from the south with them. We then experienced a second migration (Hartford) of West Indians - only second to Brooklyn in the country. Our tradition and pride includes New Haven’s Black Panther chapter that’s tied to the history of the party. We’ve hosted Muhammad Ali, Farrakhan, Dr. King and Jesse Jackson. Thirman Milner was the first black mayor in New England, and Carrie Saxon Perry was the first black woman elected mayor of a major city, right here in Hartford. Our history is extensive, too much to write here. For you to sit there and ke ke about blacks in Connecticut is disrespectful. Like you, our heroes and villains look just like us too. The irony, Mike, is that you said you were told at a young age not to go outside Atlanta, as if this is something exclusive to southern cities. Do your research next time you want to dump on your people who you think aren’t black enough and haven’t suffered enough to gain your favor.

With all due respect Mike, you didn’t have to make an ignorant statement about blacks in Connecticut to fend off criticism of your album. We are your cousins who migrated from the south to work in factories for a chance to make a living. CT was not a melting pot or utopia handing out memberships to blacks, granting us a racism-free life. We were relegated to big cities like Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven with poor living conditions including notorious housing projects, severely underfunded schools, and lack of access to capital because of discrimination. We’ve had to scratch and claw for everything we have and still fighting many of these same battles today. Our grandparents brought their customs, traditions and pride from the south with them. We then experienced a second migration (Hartford) of West Indians - only second to Brooklyn in the country. Our tradition and pride includes New Haven’s Black Panther chapter that’s tied to the history of the party. We’ve hosted Muhammad Ali, Farrakhan, Dr. King and Jesse Jackson. Thirman Milner was the first black mayor in New England, and Carrie Saxon Perry was the first black woman elected mayor of a major city, right here in Hartford. Our history is extensive, too much to write here. For you to sit there and ke ke about blacks in Connecticut is disrespectful. Like you, our heroes and villains look just like us too. The irony, Mike, is that you said you were told at a young age not to go outside Atlanta, as if this is something exclusive to southern cities. Do your research next time you want to dump on your people who you think aren’t black enough and haven’t suffered enough to gain your favor.
