Never in my life would I have ever expected that I’d get such enjoyment watching someone i don’t even really know putting in ponds, dredging ponds, roads, house lots, and the countless other things we watch u do in your day to day 7 days a week, down to filing in a borrow pit and making it looks like it was never there !!! You’re the reason I watch UA-cam and still, by far, may favorite channel !!! Just wanted to say how much I/ we appreciate you Chris !! Thank you!! 😁
I agree. I get into each episode. I have dodged flying mud. Even watch for snakes and I'm no where near. For me It's like being the guy in the cab though. 😊😊👍👍 Excellent channel. I just wish there was a playlist so I can go back and watch each one from start to finish a little easier. I have watch allot of them multiple times. CHRIS. Thank you for making these videos.
You never leave a mess after a job is done Chris. We need more men like you on the job.Nice work. Thanks for the great videos.Makes me want to get back on the job again.
A monumental task of filling in the "Grand Canyon" of borrow pits. That long road needed a lot so not surprised the borrow pit was that huge. Making it look pretty.
Bam !! Bam !! Just like that, IT's done and looks Great Chris !! I enjoy watching when you do little things like that . To many it's just filing in a hole but, I'm watching how you do your lifts, and Grade on the Dozer, trying to catch all the subtle tricks you do while operating each machine. Thanks for sharing Chris !! Great as always !! On to the Next !!
Man those shots where you were coming right up to the camera are too cool. Great Production work. You have an excellent eye for content to highlight a perfect segment!
Well Chris another great video brother you and John done a great job on the borrow pit can’t even tell you dug dirt out of there anyway brother you and John and your families y’all stay safe and can’t wait to the next video. I’ll be glad when you get back over to the animal shelter project and see what it’s like after they blasted the rocks
Lol, was sitting here thinking why doesn't he use a bull dozer... And I wonder how much that excavator weighs. Then in one sentence my questions were answered! Love the videos. Keep them coming!
So check this out! Just got my big screen Smart TV connected to UA-cam. So now can watch you on a HD 24"x42" instead of my 1.5" x 1.5" phone screen. Wow some much better and the crisp detail! I think I might even can watch you in 3D if get the glasses! Years of phone screen now this ! So cool. And all the others guys as well! Love it!
Awesome piece of work Right there.like if there wasnt any hole To Start out with.nicely graded like the cat had licked it clean 😁. Nice job Chris.you know your Stuff for sure and always get it Right. That what MAKES you To a great Machinery operator. 😀👌👌
Just wait and answers will be given. Thank you for explain, in the video, why you use the excavator instead of the bulldozer. Looks nice and you would not know it was there.
Won't it create low spots when the big stumps and pieces of wood decompose over time? Will there have to be more dirt added over time? Love to watch your videos, keep up the good work.
Chris, it looks like something rolls off from your machine there at 15:07 outside the left track! I hope it was just something the track grabbed and nothing serious!
What's the ratio of dirt to debris need to be when filling a back a pit? Looks like alot of stumps and scrub are thrown in with the dirt. Won't that cause alot of settling over time? Just curious....thanks
Down in that area it is hard to find a spot that is not clay just below the surface. That is true a lot of places but especially in the Carolinas and Georgia.
I guess I don't understand. I know it's faster to dig a pit and haul out with a truck, but then here you are scraping and burning diesel to fill the pit. Wouldn't it be as efficient, if not more, to scrape the top layer off of a larger area, then remove a smaller cut and spread the scrapings back out at the end?
When our alien creator overlords come back to see how we're doing, they are going to be amazed and exclaim "Crazy how they liked to dig holes and bury stuff!"
When they see us tethered to dogs , picking up the pooh and carrying it when ever the dog poohs they will know who the real boss is and say "What the hell happened to our creation. I guess it's time to flood this place again and start over! !"
I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING YOU FOR SOME TIME NOW. I ADMIRE YOUR WORK BUT I WONDER IF YOU CAN ACTUALLY FIGURE OUT THE COSTS FOR EACH JOB AND AND HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE?.THERE MUST BE OVER RUNS AND IS THERE A CONTINGENCY PLAN FOR THAT? PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS. 😎😏

It is interesting to check your hands when you are digging. They are in constant motion.

Finally something decent to watch other than the election. I was just about to throw a beer at the TV

I am loading rounds in AR magazines, getting ready for the chaos
Ohhh dont waste a beer on that!!😁

@Jethro Bodine your right there bud
Great job. Hopefully no water starts to collect there or you might need a few more loads of dirt
Like the video and the 250 exc, is heavy it compact very wel .
Well done. Clear, flat, good looking.
Chris could you do a video showing your control movements and what they make the machines do sometime please, thanks?
Awsome work bro
Please go back in 12 months and show off all your hard work! Love what you do!

Chris, you made it all look pretty again!
Great job as always chris
You’re a true operator. Nice job
nice job nice 250 volvo !
thanks bud!!
When you tracked in the first layer, how much did it compress. Looked like a foot?
Oh cool! Chris is making a time capsule :)
The owner just picked up more usable land! 👍
Just wait and answers will be given. Thank you for explain, in the video, why you use the excavator instead of the bulldozer. Looks nice and you would not know it was there.
Dam that was a big you know what looks great
I love your videos keep it up and you reached 350k congrats
sounds like you put that thing in power mode hoggin that dirt in the pit!
Won't it create low spots when the big stumps and pieces of wood decompose over time? Will there have to be more dirt added over time? Love to watch your videos, keep up the good work.
Stumps with dirt still on them will usually never rot, you could dig them up in 10 years and theyd look the same
Looking good.
Chris, it looks like something rolls off from your machine there at 15:07 outside the left track! I hope it was just something the track grabbed and nothing serious!
Do they make a push blade for the larger excavators? I can see where it would be a helpful thing...
@letsdig18 how many cubes u rekkin that pit yielded
Do loggers generally leave as much mess as they did on this property?
What's the ratio of dirt to debris need to be when filling a back a pit? Looks like alot of stumps and scrub are thrown in with the dirt. Won't that cause alot of settling over time? Just curious....thanks
great job as always buddy 😎👊🏻👍🏻 is the window in the bulldozer cracked
Good job on the cover up.
Another great video from this big job that you have been doing over a period of time, Turned out really well......
NICE JOB WELL DONE LIKE ALWAYS. SALUDOS.
I’ve got an old Buick that needs to be disposed of next time there’s a pit to be filled. FREE!!!
Did you steal it? Lol.
@Samuel Lim nope just a "rolled up carpet" lol
How you like the Volvo?
Digging holes and filling them up again what's not to like about that, makes for a good video too bro.
Not sure but I think that borrow pit could be seen from the Moon. 😵
That is a huge pit! Any idea how many yards of clay you hauled out of there?
What is a borrow pit?
Chris did you purchase or do you rent/ lease the 250 as needed? Assume machine!
Hey Chris you should start a excavator / bulldozer theme park for budding dirt shifters. At 73 I’d be the first in the queue. Great video as always.
jimmy hoffa comes to mind
That pit was pretty deep, great video. Kevin
Shame there were no creeks close by, had the makings of a decent pond and would have saved a lot of effort.
on job site how would you find the clay?
Down in that area it is hard to find a spot that is not clay just below the surface. That is true a lot of places but especially in the Carolinas and Georgia.
Dig holes till you find good dirt
Chris? Which pattern do you run on your controllers with the excavators? Is boom up and down on your left stick or the right?
I guess I don't understand. I know it's faster to dig a pit and haul out with a truck, but then here you are scraping and burning diesel to fill the pit. Wouldn't it be as efficient, if not more, to scrape the top layer off of a larger area, then remove a smaller cut and spread the scrapings back out at the end?
Watching you fill the huge hole was very comfortable for my day Thanks 🙏❤️🎄😎

(Italian accent) Hey forget about it youse saying da ain't no decomposing bodies just saying
Any plans for a larger dozer ??
speaking of borrow pit and ponds, have you even hit underground springs when digging
Chris is that your bucket and thumb on the 250? When did you get the 250?
You threw a tire at 15:08! 😉😁
I was just thinking “why not the dozer” when you answered the question.
Lol I’m still waiting so I must not got to that part cuz that’s what I’m thinking , ya need a dozer ,lol.
"not bad" , 36 minutes to fill a mammoth borrow pit and tidy up ! i hope you charged them the full hour! imagine the work you could achieve in a day !
I guess that answers my question 😆
And all you need now is about 5 inches of rain overnight to set the dirt in place. YeeeeeHaw!
