NSF & DNSU CONDEMNS EVICTION DRIVE AT BALIJAN COLONY

Naga Students Federation and Dimapur Naga Students Union condemned the sudden eviction drive by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council which started at Balijan Colony, Karbi Anglong on Sunday. The union bodies expressed grief over the situation that occurred and said the students living in the area would suffer as many were appearing for their boards. The unions said if there wasn’t any home to study in, where would they go? Furthermore, the DNSU President confirmed that the eviction drive will no longer continue. Meanwhile, NSF General Secretary said that it was really sad to see the livelihood of the people being destroyed in such a manner. Notably, NSF, DNSU & KASU will hold a coordination meeting on 31st January at DNSU office to further discuss about the situation
