There is no effect. Fredrik is an ancient viking warlock and the guitar obeys his command at all times. If he desires infinite sustain than it shall be done.
I think yours is the first channel reacting to every song on Immutable. Put that feather in your cap. Good job. And thank you! Yeah respect the polyrhythms!
Yeah! I wish the rest of this album got talked about more. I love how Meshuggah keeps things so sonically consistent but still fresh as heck. I loved the shit outta this whole album.
Great stuff man I might as well tell ya, since ya mentioned it. Meshuggah are the proprietors of the modern 8 string guitar in metal. Back in the early 2000s, they recorded an Album, "Nothing". They dropped their 7 string guitars down 10 notes to a full octave down with heavy guage strings to record the album. They later got talking to an Ibanez rep about customizing 8 string guitars with lower frequency pickups and longer necks. They ended up re-recording that album with their 8strings and its debated to this day which one is better amongst the fan base. Lol. That's my understanding of it, based off an interview I watched like 10 years ago. So consider it at least half right. But yeah, shit, they use 8s. 😆
I feel like I remember reading somewhere or seeing pics of them while they were writing/recording this album where they had some 9 string guitars. Not sure if they actually used them here or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did with this song, Phantoms and God He Sees In Mirrors.
@@NaroStudios It really is intense 😆 I used to own one a few years ago and it was a monster of an instrument. When I had made the jump to 7 and eventually 8 strings, neither one was even close to the challenge of taking on a 9 string.
slow snare keeping the pulse at 3:24. Always love the long riffs with the slow pace.
🤘

Fredrik barely participated in the album at all.
@@smokejcexplain then how he didn’t, cuz clearly he returned before immutable dropped if you haven’t heard lol 🤡
@@GodlessFiend being back in the band doesn't really mean anything. he wrote leads for 4 tracks. the rest was Marten and Dick.
Tho this song was composed by Lovgren
Their best S O N G
It's great!
8 String Tuning F Standard
4/4 signature.
I think this is actually 6/8 not 4/4
and its Eb
@im_in_immense_pain everything they write is 4/4 the rhythm is just shifting down until it meets back up at 4/4.
It's good work out music, meshuggah rocks.

Ahhh! Thanks for reacting to lesser mentioned tracks! This is one of my faves with the ballad time signature
This is giving me Demons name is surveillance vibes
Armies of the preposterous= demons name is surveillance PT 2
Basically yeah, down to the time signature and everything
Great stuff man

They also reportedly used 9 strings for Pitch Black

Btw. it IS 4/4, as most of Meshuggah 🤷♂️
any song is 4/4
