He lacks the basic human respect. There's nothing wrong if he wanted divorce, but divorcing your wife without her knowledge while she was miles away and the whole world already knows but not her, meaning he did not talk about it with her wife. Atleast leave her with some respect. Divorce should be agreed upon by the two parties and divorce is a harsh decision for women to take. He was lucky because during the whole process, Hye Kyo kept quiet despite some backlash from her countrymen and did not demand anything from him.
