i guess if i have the OG palette with no pin hole it cannot work with the refill?

Ok. I have the old compact with no hole in the back. It took me 1 hour and sweat & tears to figure it out. I tried with a needle and thin knife to get it out from on top. Nothing. Then I decided to ask my neighbor for a Dremel tool and drill a mini hole in the back. I succeeded in drilling a tiny hole. But, it still wouldn’t pop (push) out with the key tool they included. So I drilled the hole all the way through to the lipstick tray area and used pliers (and force) to pull it out. And lo and behold: looks like there was glue sticking the lipstick tray to the actual red compact. W.A. people: please disclose that the refill only works for the new compact. Thank you. I still love u guys. I’m just glad it worked out at the end. ❤
How can I refill the compact if I can’t even get it open? i’ve been able to get this open three times… And I’ve had it for months. I love the formula and my favorite color is the top shade. I would love to use it more, but the struggle is real. Not sure how the packaging made it past testing. I’ve been on various sites and others are complaining about the same issue… one person on Sephora mentioned that they had to put masking tape on the top and the bottom to pull the compact open. This is crazy.
Please will you launch the burgundy lip suede as a refill? That is my favourite lip suede! ❤

Excellent but I don’t have a hole in my Les Rouges compact. Does that mean I cannot use the refill?
Hi there, you might have figured out a solution by now, or Westman Atelier has stepped in (as they always do) to fix the problem. If you haven't, a simple needle and thin knife do the trick to pop out the tray. One may want to clean out the tray first to avoid a mess. :)

Bummer…. I just bought the refill not realizing my compact is an original one. Can’t get the tray to come out unfortunately…
@@shelleylysaghtwyatt9569 It was REALLY hard getting it out. Had to use a pair of pliers in the end and ask my husband to help with brute force getting it out 😂 Also I haven’t got around to actual buy the refill so unfortunately I don’t know if it fits or if it will stay put in the old compact….
My hubby was able to remove mine, but the compact is now marred. And now my order is delayed by FedEx so I don’t yet know if the new pallet works in my compact. Overall, kind of disappointed.
