reckless blow has 2 big damage ticks kinda far apart from each other, it doesnt all come out at once. uncharged brings the 4 ticks off in 3 visible ticks, 1 instantly and the 2 others in really great succession right after each other. charged or e buffed brings the dmg out in a total of 5 visible ticks, 2 almost instantly and the last 3 later. thing is, after the last dmg tick is applied u can also use ankle break, slashing or balance to cancel it (and some others not worth mentioning) which isnt rly a cancel tho but rather just a smooth transition but at least all ur dmg got applied
Hey dude can you do a guide that has a brief overview of how to play into different matchups? Like not massively in depth but just like which ones to play aggressively into good ways to catch that class and things do avoid doing into them? There's not alot of warrior content out there and I feel like a guide like that would be super helpful to people
19:43 actually there are 2 way of canceling for both Piercing Spear & Frenzied Spear (Rabam). as far as i know, 1st is using forward slash after you use spear. 2nd one is using deep trust and Q canceling. so first thing first, use spear button (you can use Piercing spear or Rabam spear) and after the spear comes out, press Shift+LMB then immediately press Q at the very first beginning of Deep Trust. i learnt it from discord warrior, so it might be good if i could share that here and btw your guide is great man, appreciate that ;)
yes that is why I said it can be cancelled with any ultimate skill, deep thrust and forward slash are both in the ultimate skills I listed, along with shield charge and chopping kick. The best one to cancel spears with is shield charge and chopping kick since both provide some sort of protection while spears do not. And as I said you cant directly Q cancel it but you can ofc Q cancel the skill after it

Is grave digging still working with Q cancel? When I do overwhelm->Q+grave digging it just stands blocking after overwhelm and never does grave diggign but the skills goes on cd...no problems doing the cancel with slashing the dead or reckless blow, just with grave digging.
That's because q cancel can cancel out of grave dig so you need to let your q go at the perfect time. There is a weird timing to it but nothing you can't manage I'm sure.

They did not optimize warrior for console if you attempt to transition from preawk to awk he will slowly put the sword and shield onto his back and he has no skills that force a transition into awk like how scars of dusk or grab force him into preawk

Hey, so I really enjoy Warrior as a class, but I am super intimidated by this video, especially all the thousands of super complicated cancels you apparently NEED to know to be able to perform well with it in PvE and especially PvP scenarios. For example, I've been trying to understand q-cancelling for the past 2 hours and I can't get my head around it, I dont know when to press Q to cancel stuff, no matter how often I try it seems like nothing is happening. Also many other cancels from this video are so insanely timing sensitive and complicated to memorize, I really feel discouraged now. Was this really intended by the devs to be played like this? Is it going to hurt me a lot in PvE/PvP at mid-endgame spots (Aakman/Hystria/Stars End) if I cannot perform all of these cancels appropriately? If so, by how much? Because if it's actually a lot I feel like this class might just not be for me and I'd have to reroll to something less edgy :(
You don't necessarily need to learn the cancels in pve. Your trash per hour will take a hit but overall you'd still be able to grind with it. For pvp its a different story. Without cancels its probably sub par at best. Don't be intimidated by it. I just rolled warrior yesterday and already have a lot of the cancels and movement down. I would start with learning how to overwhelm>Q>reckless blow. It should look like all one skill if you do it correctly. Just keep trying over and over and over again. Itll eventually come to you I promise. People not as intelligent and more intelligent have both mained the class. Just keep at it. Itll eventually come to you :)

@@SoggyCow that is called C swap cancelling which is discussed at 7:50 of the video if you are unable to make it that far you have some unlucky genetics on you. C swap cancel does not equal Q cancelling which is the one being discussed at 5:56
You don't really have to remember them, if you practice enough you will do it by default. It might look like a lot to learn but its also very rewarding once you see yourself improving a lot.
Everyone gets really low fps in mass pvp which sucks but doesn't mean you can't perform. 120 or around there is really important for 1v1 and open world but for mass pvp it's really hard to hit so just don't bother with it and I know this is corny but keep practicing xd
It may seem like a lot at first, but learning these things are very rewarding as well. Hope you will still give the class a shot though, I know I personally had a really fun time learning it :')
