Hola Michael, super enjoy your videos and the information you share about your experiments and journey. Thanks for sharing!
I went ahead and ordered the 2x D-Link DGS-108 switches along with 1x 16 port DGS-1016D (which arrives on Friday!). I immediately installed the 2x 8 ports into my system and even without break-in the sound was transformed!! I could notice it even before I sat down to listen. Noticeable increases in clarity, much larger and cohesive soundstage, much better dynamics, etc. Instead of plugging the switches into a power conditioner, I used what I have: a power regulator on the router side and a PowerPlant on the streamer side and each 8 port switch with an iFi SilentPower iPower2 power supply.
Will comment once everything breaks in and we have added the 16 port switch into the mix.
I noticed that your 8 port switches look physically different. They have the DC power input on the rear. The DGS-108 I received have the power input on the side. So either they are a newer or older version of the same switch. Has anyone else commented on this?
    Thanks, Eric in Mexico!

That's great to hear! Both of mine have the plugs in the back.

Maybe later we could take pictures of the internal board. If the chipsets are the same, there should not be much of a sonic performance change. It is possible the IC board layout was changed for some reason. Thanks@@GreekAudioGeek

If possible, you should review Shunyata products. Great Video

Thanks for watching. I've owned several of their products. They do make some nice things for sure.

Another question I'd like your take on... What are your thoughts on "Burning in cables" and either turning your equipment off or keeping it on 24/7?
    Thanks

Hi Michael, please give audio snippets, a modern smartphone mounted on a tripod at the listening position will give a perfectly good listen in on the points you are making. OCD HiFi Guy example auditions does this very well despite the perceived technical limitations of UA-cam video.

I have a question: Tidal will buffer entire tracks. I have a 300mbps internet connection. I can buffer an entire 10 minute track on my end point and play it back with the cable disconnected. How does the WW vs BJC affect what is data in buffer being placed back out?

When it comes to digital you need to try for yourself to see what works best in your system and what doesn't.
Remember with these cables it has nothing to do with "1's and 0" that uninformed like to crow. Instead it is about noise and interference. So a better cable will help reject noise and interference from getting into your unit at all. The cable is plugged into the unit so any noise picked up in the cable (whether there is a music signal or not) it getting sent into your streamer.
To what degree and if you think it's worth the cost is up to you.

Hi Michael, have missed your reviews. Hope you are on frimly on the path to recovery. Quick question. Are you using OEM SMPS with the mass market/generic switches? I've exprimented with better quality power supplies and have found that sometimes they make more of an improvement than the choice of the genric switch &/or ethernet cable ie better sounding switch (all things being equal) with OEM SMPS < lesser switch with better quality power supply (eg ifi Elite or Plixir Elite BDC). Naturally in this game everything matters but so far my expriments are leading me to conclude the pecking order of impact (highest to lowest) as follows: 1) audiophile grade switch (eg PhoenixNet).... 2) high quality linear or SMPS power supply.....3) ethernet cables ......4) switch cascade combinations 5) choice of generic mass market switches. Particularly inetersting in corroborating findings on 2 vs #3 as cables can get quite expensive. Keep up the good work. Ps looking forward to the Luxman review!

Hello! Thank you - slowly but surely improving. I did try upgraded power supplies on the generic switches and noticed that when plugged into the Audio Quest 3 power conditioner (amzn.to/3qqPc4c) upgrading the power supplies on the cheap switches made minimal improvement. With no power conditioned the improvement was more noticeable, though no where near as good as using the AQ3. Note - power is such an individual issue that varies dramatically from one house to the next - so your experience may be different. I am running a high quality Telegartner M12 Premium switch and the cheap switches still add a significant implement. Thanks for watching!

Which expensive cables have you compared to the stealth ??
Have you compres them to Shunyata upper range and AudioQuest?
    What about albedo cables
    Argent pur, and others

Hello. Have you checked the behavior of the Wireworld ethernet cable between the router and the switch? Or between two switches? What effect does it have on sound? The biggest impact will be at the end from the switch to the streamer, or it best to use Wireworld for every connection?

Hello - I use the WW from my cheap switch (D-Link) to my expensive switch (Telegartner) and then use STEALTH from the Telegartner to my server/streamer.

Yes, I know, but have you checked whether better quality Ethernet cables have a greater impact when we use them at the beginning of the chain, at the very end before the streamer, or is each connection important and critical? As an interesting fact, I would like to add that in my country there is a company that processes Wireworld cables itself and, for example, the lowest Chroma (yellow) series uses plastic plugs as standard, unlike the higher versions which use metal ones, while this company also uses in the yellow version metal plugs from higher versions.

@@bebbop I have. It's a matter of cost vs. level of improvement. Every set up/system is different.

Hi, I have a question about upgrading my internet connection to my MOON 390. I'm using a Netgear switch and is it really much better to use two D-Link DGS 108 switches? Have you tried the English Electric 8 Switch Audio for example? So what would you recommend? Thank you David

I hate all this digital stuff, it is not a real stuff, but it is a fake.
I like real analog music on vinyl, or reel 2 reel recorder.Forget about all this stupid sf deception, so called streaming.

Clearly you have not tried a solid R2R + Tube amp setup w/ digital lossless. No vinyl can compete. This is not subjective.
