One night we were surpised that there is a very fragrant smell coming from the outside of our house..we followed that smell. Until we came up near our mango tree. There it is. A white flower that bloomed. We did not even planted that flower that is why we were very surprised and captivated to this beautiful flower. A year after i saw this movie "Crazy Rich Asian". I saw how they celebrated the flower. I said we have that flower in our mango tree..After researching, i just learned it is the queen of the night.🥰
I have some of these growing in my yard in Phoenix. Peruvian apple is the common name for my plants and the blossoms turn into a tasty fruit after pollenization. The fragrance is intoxicating!
Thank you. I bought one of these at a garage sale years ago and had no idea what it was called. It is so beautiful on that one night a year. (I live in Australia,)
When I was younger my grandmother and I stayed up until the flower bloomed. Next, my grandmother cut it and preserved in the fridge. Best memory ever I have. Dama de Noche
Kinda late here but I just watched my mom's bloom for the first time tonight. In Florida. Yes the smell is strong and so lovely. It was a beautiful sight!!
by accident, coming home from work one night, I glanced toward the perimeter of my yard. low an behold gorgeous 🙌 giant blooms were on one of my large potted plants. I stopped got my camera took pictures. I had no idea what I had. good I did . I've not seen it bloom again. Still waiting for it to, DO IT AGAIN! thanks for the v🙋
Phew. Did you actually breathe making that video??? My hearing was assaulted listen to this gabbling. Please slow down ... and show more of the flowers instead of yourself.
I have one of these and they turn into giant plants that will take up a large window. They do bloom at night and it is easy to miss the bloom. I cultivated about 5 of these and am waiting for them to grow up. I bought mine from a yard sale and the person told me it blooms once a year and at night. The smell is said to be strong enough to be smelled about a half a mile a way. It does have a really strong smell. It is very pretty and very large.
Welp..I gotta find out when this is and go visit my sister! 2 of my favorite things are the desert and plants such as cactus so, YYEEAAA! TOTALLY GOIN! Thanks for the vid!

I have two species on my trees in the back yard. I grew them from cuttings. They can survive as air plants, but better to plant them as they grow faster.
