Thank you, as I was able to use a magnifying glass, and was able to see where there is a sponge of some type used in the lid! Also I believe there are more than 4 dice used in the trick!😂
I hated it. I could never ever get it to work. The gimmick would certainly need replacement after a while. I also think the spectator would instantly want to examine the lid even after the first phase. If you can’t clean up then your screwed
I just Googled Dice Hopper to see where I could buy it. I found some other video performances for it, and I discovered it's not the lid you have to remember the proper sequence for. Correct?
@@totallymagic when I saw the semi translucent lid it was clear magnets weren't part of it. I assume something other than the lid itself and the dice are moving though. I also assume it's only 'clean' at the start and after the finish
@@RobertSzasz Tenyo tricks you think are magnetic but ¡no! It's like magnetism is a probable cause, let's skip that and make something amazing. In fact I have 2 Tenyo tricks and I will use a magnet to prove it is not mangetism. It's pure magic!!! Or in other words, pure ingenious engineer thinking.
Hi! I am a clown and this trick looks great! (No matter looks like a toy for me. Just explain is a cheap dice box). Sometimes you do not need a story, just a pre-mainmagic mishappening. Show your box, and some mishappennings, you tell the audience or kid..Did you move the die? Make a trick with a die.. there is one the person picks up a number tell them to turn only once on any direction. Guess number they chose, its mechanics/math trick. Then go back to your box to show its not the die, it can be done with another die, and then the die jumped! Another option spray paint it if it does not ruin the trick.
@@totallymagic Hello sir! First of all, I am not a magician, in any way shape or form, however I have been extremely intrigued about this trick to the point of trying to figure it out. From what I have studied, watching several video's, and other reviews, here is what I've come up with! First of all, the demo's where 1 die is put in a pocket, tells me there is more than 4 dice used in this trick, with 1 die already loaded into the lid gimmick. Next the name of the trick is what I think would be more proper than dice hopper, I would think it would be more like a dice slider! By that I do not believe the dice are hopping from one compartment to the next, but rather a clever concealed ramp inside the lid slides an already loaded die, into the proper chamber, hence, the sometime clicking of one die bumping into another upon entrance of the chamber.. Next would be how a die is picked up would probably be with some type of tacky sponge, and or with suction, and when one die is picked up, the other is released into the chamber. Hence, the proper positioning of either the lid or box after each movement! Only thing I find hard to figure out, is the "fast ditch" of the gimmick in the lid, after the trick is over! I may be way off the mark on my theory and I truly hope you were able to read this, as that was how I found your site, was researching this trick! So anyway,. Thank you and best of luck to you with your magic tricks! Sincerely,. Dan! 😂. Cheers and respect.
Do you sell the illusion? Also, can you please give me Tenyo's phone number? I just tried the magic store I went to last week, and they said they couldn't get it because Tenyo decided to discontinue it just to be jerks, and THEY HAVE MORE ILLUSIONS DISCONTINUED THAN THEY DO CONTINUED, AND THEY DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT WHAT CUSTOMERS WANT! I want that illusion and an English video.
I agree, annoying Tenyo never keep tricks available for long. I think this comes up on ebay ever so often. Never seen a phone number on any Tenyo packaging, maybe someone else can post a number.
@@totallymagic And there's another Tenyo illusion involving dice that I want. I like illusions having to do with dice because dice illusions are my favorite.

Absolutely amazing trick
Great review. I love Tenyo stuff
Love Tenyo stuff too. Have collected since about 1975
I did see the ditching of the last die off the table but I'm not sure how the lid grabs the extra die for each move.
They do have a black version of that.

Can you please reveal the secret to this one? I know I'd be stuck if I bought it because the instructions would be in Japanese.
"they can even check the lid" 1:58 after you ditched the gimmick.

Well, kind of. Lid or Base, you need to remember which way round!
is this a trick I could buy and then make my own beautiful wooden box for my kit?
That's was what I was thinking. Did you ever experiment with that?
Could you perform this trick without skipping the video?
Sorry no longer have this it was given away to a subscriber.
It would be better if it took 100 to 200 years to wear out instead of performances because I wouldn't live that long.
Magic of magnets? or is it purely mechanical?
Actually it's neither... Just a very clever principle that I would never have guessed!
