I agree! Both Jake and Laura were unlikeable from the start! I think Josh once complained in an article about how Leo/Greenlee had to be destroyed in order to prop up Jake and Laura. He was so right! ALL the fans hated this storyline because both Leo and Greenlee weren't acting like themselves. It was like the writers were trying to make the fans like Jake and Laura. And trying to prop up these characters in any way possible. So they made Leo and Greenlee look bad.
normally i love Greens and Leo but in this instance Leo can kick rocks. I mean, Greens spent months pining over him, loving him, begging him to come back to her while he treated her like crap and called her worse, but greens isn't even allowed a few moments to get her head together before he's given up on her. I mean, where is his backbone? his commitment? I love him but he really is the peter pan of pine valley.
I have to say that these scenes are exciting. Interesting. Leo and Greenlee all the way. It's like they are the only ones in the room. I like how at the end Leo and Greenlee stay back while Jake and Laura leave first. Josh and Rebecca have the best chemistry. I found Jake to be incredibly boring! Although, the actor is cute. Jake is such a boring character. And in this scene, Laura is actually exciting for a change! The actress rocked the scenes!
Check out Leo's face at :47, WOW! intense then at 4:53 JD makes another FUNNY face! He's great, an underrated actor. The Jake character here is the voice of reason pretty much. I so wanted Greenlee to beat up Laura here, she's a little pistol! I do have to say Greenlee is an IDIOT because just LOOK at LEO!!!!! VANILLA!!!!!!!
I remember not liking this Jake, but I couldn't remember why after liking J. Eddie Peck in other things. This scene brought my feelings into focus. Jake was too old and "mature" to be involved with any of those people in that elevator. In one sense, he was a good influence on Greenlee and Gillian. He was particularly helpful in guiding Greenlee toward self-actualization. But on the other hand, why would a man at his stage in life keep falling in love with such immature young women clearly in love with other men? Even if neither woman had returned to their previous loves, I'd have to wonder if their relationship would have been sustainable once she achieved full self-actualization. Meanwhile, he strung along a beautiful woman (Dr. Pat) who was his peer. Leo certainly had his jerky moments, but at least he had the excuse of being in his mid-20s and was virtually raised by wolves. This Jake was in his late-30s and was raised by perfect parents. Of the four of them, he's the one who should know better.
I want to take a moment to give props to Rebecca (Greenlee) on what a phenomenal job she did in this scene!!

I know how can he even question her love for him after everything, i mean what were the writers smoking 😂😂😂
Geeezzz...they don't do triangles like this anymore.
THANK YOU!!
no, no, no, Greenlee is Leo are decidedly the best as a couple.
