Hi George, Fantastic to see Liz driving the JCB, she's found a fantastic home. I am surprised that Olivers didn't grease the steering and sort out the anti rollbar, it's those small touches that brings repeat business.
Seeing Liz behind the wheel at this time of the year makes me think of one thing.....combine time is a coming, well done Liz great to see you having a go you will master that in no time.
Another great video George thanks for sharing.Liz did really well first outing in the fastrac and on the A1 . The look on your face as you said we are back in the village safe lol
Good stuff George , it was just like watching a new father the first time somebody picks up his new baby HAHA . Liz coped under the scrutiny , magic 👍🏻🚜🏴
Absolutely brilliant vid George - pleased the seat was an easy fix! Liz drives it really well…. got to be a solid 8/10 I’d say! Looking forward to many more videos on the lovely Fastrac. Now to watch the “gear jamming music” vid for the umpteenth time!! 🤣🤣🤣😅😍🚜
6BT in it I'm surprised it didn't have the 6.7 would be right around the time they started to replace the 5.9 with the 6.7. Tractor looks good George, can't wait to see it put to work.
Fair play to her on that one. No pressure with Geore's baby, and with him in the passenger seat. And i reckon pringles cans are the way to go with bringing the pedals closer 😉😉
C'mon George, that was a definite 8/10 for a lady with little legs lol, you've got to do a vid on changing the manifold, it'll be fun watching those bolts come out! Nice one buddy.
You can get the manifold skimmed on a Miller we’ve done loads also it looks to be nodding slightly on the road? you may want to change the rear accumulators or check the a-frame bush on top of the axle these are common things to fail
Great one Liz enjoy her drive ?? Liz not used with a manual box ?? if you look at the rear window, bottom left corner a Tyne Bridge logo the glass made at a company called Tyne-Side Saftey glass at Team-Valley, Gateshead
I used one very similar when I left college they had big weight on the back behind cab to make her squat and I pulled 3.5m cultipress with levelling boards pulled a treat. Lovely ride for top work on ploughing.
Hardest thing about you working on the fastrac is those gloves 😬. Now I ware gloves as much as I can being a mechanic and all but those can be bloody frustrating when working on machinery 🙄😤😉😆 need to find a nice hyflex set to try 😉 well worth it. Love the fastrac +engine and yip it's the one I would of picked mind you if there was a 185 instead 🤔😏😉😂 great vid 👍 Stay safe 🏴
Nice one George (and Liz). I kinda like the new JCB's a lot more than the older ones (purely looks, never driven either one ofcourse) but I guess they're a lot more expensive than the older ones. What's quite a difference over there in the UK compared to here, you are actualy allowed to drive on those motorways (not sure what the correct English term for it is). Over here, tractors are not allowed on most 80KM/h (~50 MP/h) roads, let alone the 100KM/h (~60MP/h) motorways even if you have a tractor that can drive that fast (like a Fastrac). A farmer in this area got a lovely JCB 4220, even though it 'only' does 50KM/h (quite some speedlimits for tractors over here), it's hard to catch up with it in a car when trying to follow it :P
A1 is a bit of an anomaly, some parts are motorway others are dual carriageway. Tractors are not permitted on a motorway. So dual carriageway speed for cars and small vans is 70mph, 114 kph; lorries is 56mph, 90kph; tractors if they have the correct suspension, braking, speedometer and horn, so JCB and Unimog is 40mph or 65kph and all other tractors are 30mph, 40kph. Government was completing a review on increasing weights and speeds in England, but they have only amended weights total train weight which is now 31 tonnes, so for us we have now sold the 100hp tractor that towed the artic bale trailer, though I doubt it would have stopped it and replaced with a 50kph tractor, which can't do 50kph because the government, didn't amend that rule, even though 82% recommended and they're aware that everyone is doing that speed and it's marginally safer for other traffic. I want to thank Liz for allowing you to upload this George. You may have just hit upon a new interview technique where Liz interviews folks while driving the Fastrac, I'd watch it anyway. So Liz needs longer legs, I have heard of women shaving their legs, is this what happens....it makes them shorter! Good luck on those manifold studs, with any luck that oil leak might have kept them lubed up a bit. Great video and team work.
You could make good money hiring her out to people wanting to drive a Fastrac George, I bought my father a drive a drive an artic present for his retirement.
Those anti-sway bar links/bushings are a fright⚠️😮 Those would be my first priority. Will sharpen up the steering response and fix the delayed suspension response. Really important for highway stability👍 Double check the steering column U-joint for looseness. Given the age and field pounding might be prudent to replace it for safety reasons. Should be easier than replacing the Ex Manifold. Lots of maintenance to do.... Don't you have a speed limit sticker on the rear showing what your speed limitation is, like "30" "50" or is that from the old days ? My last time driving in England was 1985 🇺🇸✌️
What did Mucker say when you told him you had brought a fast track George? What will you get next when funds allow? Brother or sister for the Tdub I think😁. Great vid well done Liz
Hi mate we have one of them on the farm on a 53plate nice to drive with nothing on we use it for corn carting drags it down with a Bailey trailer on loaded and we found in the wet it gets stuck very easy you will have a lot of fun with it does your h m l work on the forward and reverse leaver ours doesn’t and the red light flashing on the dash I think they all do that ours does too

Hi George,

Loud Exaust note is fun for the first 15 minutes of the day, but gets very tiring after a 12 to 18 hour day.
Seeing Liz behind the wheel at this time of the year makes me think of one thing.....combine time is a coming, well done Liz great to see you having a go you will master that in no time.
Well done Liz, lovely to see you both out together in the fastrac, but with you in the driving seat 👌😁

Deffo got a keeper there George , delighted for you gettin the fast trac , so well deserved mate 👍👍
A little tip, when changing up the power shifts a quick lift off the throttle will stop that awful noise and give a smoother shift
