Put some food colouring in with roundup and you can see where youve been. My mate spot sprays docks etc and its his idea and its better than it actually is !
Vari disc are a tremendous tool,always set front and back discs same angle or soil uneven throw will create ridges ,and left or right pulling can be taken out with top link on tractor,keep good discs on and this means less rotations and less angle needed bearings will last much longer 👍
You’re absolutely right about spending a bit of time out with the knapsack sprayer, cheap control. Persistence pays off with Blackgrass and other problem weeds.
We made a simple toolbar with rigid super flow type chisel legs in front of our polish short discs. Makes the working depth more consistent and takes out wheelings. Further project?! Always watch your videos, keep it up!

Great video Richard, black grass becomes viable after it’s gone through the flowering stage, we go with nap sacks, quickest and easiest way, and if it’s too bad big sprayer comes out. We also grow Rye seems to be a good crop to smoother weeds out as it’s so vigorous, and also gives you more herbicide options early on, just be sure to give it plenty of growth reg to keep it in check 👍🏻
