Great collection of cards Mark. I do agree that with VCP it's not an exact science determining values. But like you, I don't plan to sell any of my cards either so it's all just for fun to do a video like this. Awesome job.
Really nice Duke Snider, super cool to get that from a cardmunity member! Really enjoyed the cards and the episode! Thanks for sharing and have a great rest of your week!
Thanks so much! Ha! Never going to get rid of that one - its from my childhood collection and was the most expensive card I ever brought when I was a kid so has strong sentimental value. Got it at a show with the Snider/mays from the same set - spent over $100 on the pair which was mindblowing to me at the time. Kinda fell into that Zack Wheat obsession, but its a lot of fun.
I’m glad the card made it to you in one piece. It belongs in your collection my friend. Wow all the Zack Wheat’s are serious. I’ve been trying to win one lately and I can see who’s been beating me out for them lol.
Thanks again for the generous giveaway. Love it! I got into Zack Wheat after I finished my Koufax base run - he's Dodgers all time record holder in so many categories and now I guess i've turned into sort of a super collector of him.
Great job showing your collection. Very nice cards and stories behind them. I love the Zach Wheat collection! Prewar and Cracker Jack cards are two of my favorite things.
What an array of legendary players and issues! That 1953 Reese may be the best action card of all time -- certainly better than the scads of 21st-century action cards that come our way.
Love all the Zack Wheats is there-- I've had the T205 for my HOF collection and have always thought that was such a beauty. Lots of great cards-- thanks for showing!!!
Fantastic cards, Mark. The color on the Hack Wilson is so good, like you just took the Goudey wrapper off of it. Also love those Cracker Jacks, and you have so many great 1920s examples. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! In the last couple years, I've gone more in to pre-war, picking up more rare items and delaying getting cards I need that are more available. Why my top 25 is so pre-war heavy.
Great cards and Congrats Mark! I have 3-5 $500.00+ cards and then a bunch of around $100.00, now a bunch of those $100.00 ones are better cards but just in very low grades.
Thanks! I'm thrilled to have these. I made this one more for myself so I can look back in years to come to see how the collection evolves. Happy collecting!
Excellent cards, my friend! You are inspiring me to make a top something video. I'm just not sure how to even begin to rank or classify. It's great that you mentioned the challenge in valuing some of those super rare cool pre-war cards in your collection. Love this rundown.
Thanks Aaron! It was pretty easy for me to pick out a top 25 since my collection isn’t massive but I can imagine for you it would be a bigger challenge! I think a larger project would be super fun - top 50 or 100 by estimated value like Darren did? I bet it would be a lot of work the first time but then future iterations would be easier since you’d just need to classify the new pick ups? Value is such an odd metric to me but it was something to go with. I’ll probably make another video of 25 or so favorite cards in my collection, even though I don’t really have such a list and would he kinda arbitrary. There will be some overlap but not necessarily that much! Look forward to seeing what you come up with!
I’ve got a bunch of Zack Wheat cards and other stuff that I’m probably going to sell in the next few months. Some valuable, some not. I have 4 Wheat HOF brown bats, an uncut 1923 W572 Strip that includes Wheat and Grover Alexander, 2 blankets, a signed personal check, and a PSA 2 T206, just to name a few. He was a friend of my aunt & invited me over to his home. He signed a ball and some HOF gold postcards for me when I was a kid.

Yeah- just fun exercise and will be really fun to look back in years to come to see how collection and prices change. Thanks so much John!
Really nice Duke Snider, super cool to get that from a cardmunity member! Really enjoyed the cards and the episode! Thanks for sharing and have a great rest of your week!
