Honestly, it’s at the point where I actually feel sorry and bad for maxime, I truly know how he feels. Because there were times in my life where, someone who I went to school with, made a fool out of me.
To be fair it was later revealed Gru did it to get revenge on Maxime for exposing his underwear
It's a shame that he can't be considered the main antagonist of the saga, since he is credited as Gru's archenemy. Or the _central_ antagonist, since the main one (and the real arch-enemy of Gru) could be Mr Perkins, if one day he'll finally the primary antagonist of a sequel.
