I totally agree. I'm a journalist who uses otter to transcribe my interviews (after the fact) and up until now I've happily paid for pro. With this change, it is absolutely not worth it for me.

What' the issue with using the live transcription?
@@BryanMordt For me, it's that I do a lot of interviews on site with a physical recorder, rather than a phone or laptop. It works great for interviews, with an easy import system and portability. To use the live transcription instead would be a huge hassle.
I have coworkers who have resorted to playing their recordings out loud to get otter to transcribe them that way, but frankly I think that's silly and a waste of time when Otter could just do what it did before and let Pro customers have unlimited uploads.

Great pints raised but correct me if i am wrong that 10 separate files per month with a cap of 1200 minutes for the year. Or am I wrong? If you are right thought I shall cancel my subscription.

I have only just come across this because my subscription renewed. The only reason I bought a subscription was to import recorded phone calls. (Interviews as a journalist.)

It is what it is but it's a wrong move by Otter AI. Poorly thought out.
Even the 1,200 is not enough. Downgrading it to 1/5 of its original minutes and not even half is disgusting.
It's infuriating. Poorly thought out and daylight robbery.

It makes the "pro" version useless. I can't transcribe my schools recorded lectures without using a business account??? recording on my phone is not an option.
