Killer, Killer Guitar!!! Love that Solar Burst. It's gorgeous. I have 2 Wolfgang Standards - Stryker Red and Battleship Gray. And 2 Specials - in Sonic Boom and Deep Purple Metallic. Man they are just absolutely amazing guitars. Rock and Roll Power-Houses. And just crazy good players. The feel sooooo good. And I'm a Life-Long EVH and Van Halen fan too. Grew up with them, and they've always gone everywhere with me. Gotta have some EVH guitars! I want the Sangria one next!
On all of the EVH guitars they are flush to the body of the guitar, so they’re dive only. Which is fine with me as I have others with a “floating” Floyd. Te nah way to use the D-Tuna is for the Floyd to rest on the body. As a side note, this helps with tuning and keeping it locked in tune much more than when it’s floating. Which is why Eddie Van Halen had his either body flush, or he would block them as such. Like the Frankenstein he used. You’ll see he attached a quarter that he could roll down to block it. Thank you for watching!
This doesn’t have the coil split. It can be added pretty easily. But the tones are so good as is, it’s not really necessary for most players. Thank you for the kind words!
Pretty cool. They once forgot to send me candy. I went online and complained about it without even tagging them, and they sent me a big jar of Bit-o-honey. I love all of them over there.
Oh cool! Yup, I’ve been here for about 20 years. Moved here to take a radio job (I worked in radio for 18 years) as morning guy at Beach 104 years ago…my on air name was Kramer. After I left radio, I started a photo / video / voiceover biz here and the channel came after that. Thank you for watching!
@@nicholasbellissimo5694 IMHO, you can't go wrong with this guitar. I keep it on a stand next to my couch, and it's the first one I grab since I got it.
I'm about to buy one of these beauties in chlorine burst! Also buying from Sweetwater, so I'm curious - did you get yours pleck'd? I figure a high end guitar like this shouldn't need to be pleck'd, but don't want to make assumptions....
Eddie is the goat and Sweetwater really hooked you up. Makes me wish i had something to complain about lol Eddie never had to pull the trem up so im sure it isnt necessary. Thats the only way i would have a Floyd. I have had a few over the years and the Ibanez trem and im happier with a hard tail. I have always sucked with a trem . Edddie and dimebag set the bar for that in a ridiculous realm
Any guitar over $300 that I can't check out in person I order from Sweetwater. I've been dealing with them for years and have never been disappointed and have never had to send anything back.
Being worried about a hoodie scratching guitar sounds WAY too overprotective. Natural relic just make em cooler. Or at least I don't want to be constantly scared by my instrument's possible drop of value bc I think of them as sophisticated tools and not value items.
I’m extremely disappointed in mine- had it 6 months and the neck pocket is already cracking… will not stay in tune, floating or not… with or without D tuna. Very disappointed
That is disappointing! I would definitely reach out to either where you bought it, or directly to EVH 💯 Sorry to hear that man. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
@@VaporTrailChannel Sweetwater took 100% care of me and immediately sent me one overnight. This one has a functional D tuna. The fine tuners are a little hard to turn- but it’s not a true Floyd. I’ll keep this one and maybe get a true Floyd Rose?
Not sure where you bought it, but you might reach out to them and see if they can help you. Without being there with you, it's very difficult to diagnose your problem. String tension is necessary for a guitar to play, so that shouldn't be an issue. If they strings are too large of a gauge for you, put some ernie ball super slinky's on it. They're very light and probably easier to play. Other than that, if you're new to guitar, you just have to play and get your fingers used to it. Wish I could be more help to you! Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Beautiful guitar, congratulations! Also great to hear that SW took good care of you!
Thank you!
Love these guitars! Yours looks awesome!
Thank you! 🙏🏻

Thanks man! Daaaang…sounds like you’ve got quite a collection. Very nice 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and commenting!
That D tuna is a game changer for sure cause its so difficult to change tunings on a flod rose guitar.
True story! Thank you for watching!
Hello. Just curious Is the floyd rose locked that you cannot pull it up at all? Thanks

Hi, great sound. Is it the Engl? Thx :-) Regards Zdeno
Yes, it’s the ENGL Fireball 25. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
My next Guitar for sure
You won’t be disappointed! Love this one. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
very nice review sir. I've a question. Does this guitar has a push pull for coil split? thx a lot

Nice looking guitar! Keep it up.
Thank you!

LOL...that's a cool story. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
sorry for the late reply, I've been traveling.
Hell yeah, dude. This thing is rad! You’ll get those pinch harmonics down! I know they’re kinda tricky. Lol.
I can typically do them pretty good, but you know how it is…turn a camera on, and nothing works as it should 😂 Thanks dude!
@@VaporTrailChannel Oh, I sure do! Haha. Happens all the time with recording.
Cool review. The Special doesn't have a quilted maple top. It's a maple top, with a thin laminate quilting.
I didn’t realize that, but it looks great. Thank you for checking it out!
I ordered one, but have never played one. I'm usually not a fan of thin necks, and big frets. We'll see.
I love mine. Hope you dig it too! Plays so nicely
@@VaporTrailChannel Thanks. A guitar in shipment makes time move slow.
@@qua7771 Yea, that's definitely true! Especially when it's something really nice...and pricey!
So weird that I just watched this! I’m in the OBX too

That’s awesome! Ive been here for about two years now and love it. Also I am really interested in these evh Wolfgang’s after playing one in Raleigh.

The D tuna wont work if the bridge is floating.
Exactly. Pretty sure I mention that in the video, but anything is possible…I may have miscommunicated that. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

Hi, im just bought a Wolfgang special, it is very hard to play, too much strings tension (9/42), how i can to resolve? Sorry my bad english
