Great takeoff. When we were departing Malta (years ago) we were late departing and did a short field takeoff on a 757 from the point where you entered the runway to backtrack. Full power before releasing the brakes.
08:00 nice view of Mdina just to the right of the engine, and Rabat and my house at the far outskirts of town . I was probably watching your plane while looking at flight details on flightradar :D
very nice take off from Malta, but where does the ROCKET take off come into play, I have been to Malta dozens of times and we always landed and took off without any rockets The airport at Malta is long enough to take a 747 ??? The first time I flew to Malta was in a D.C.3 took 7 hours with a fuel stop in Nice, we did not fly over the Alps, we flew through them at 10,000 feet. and landing at Malta at 100 miles per hour was hairier than flying today.
The pilots were certainly backtracking at speed! The views after takeoff are absolutely stunning, a really nice catch! :D
