E5 DD content never disappoints! I'm way too excited for this! Can't wait for the pet update though...I wander what kind of perks having a pet at the coach can bring other than the visuals.
Honestly liking the drive to make this roguelike work. As much as I enjoy DDI, I'm more excited that they want to go a different route so it doesn't just replace the older game for those that want to go back to it
Stress needs to be addressed. It's a 1-10 scale where 1, 2 and 3 are not going to exist save for the first minute or so past an inn. 4 is when negative interactions start. Without player agency to manage stress, the whole run is pretty doomed to heavy RNG decay. That doesn't feel fun or interesting. Just frustrating.
Obvious this is speculation: but i dislike the upcoming changes on a fundemental level Stress heal nodes should be party wide. The struggle in stress is keeping everyone below 4. Very rarely are you gonna spend a node to stress heal a single hero. The stress heals need to be small and consistent. My idea that i suggested was high light routinely heals stress like on the road hp healing. I also dislike the stagecoach upgrade idea of torchless. Ive always thought of torchless being just more VOLATILE Darkest Dungeon. It also hamstrings your options for OTHER upgrades. The opportunity cost for another inventory upgrade is too high. The BIGGEST thing i miss from DD1 is being able to pre-plan, whereas DD2 is much more free form and you have to make do with what you have. Everyone is very generalist. Every character is roughly good everywhere. Im not making a team to specifically beat the Sprawl boss like in DD1. I cant pick up trinkets and items to exaggerate my team's strengths or patch up their weaknesses. I just gotta hope i get good stuff in fights and shops. The best part of DD1 was pre-planning a run, feeling like you accounted for every possibility, it all going to shit but you win through a pyric victory regardless, through forethought and pluck. DD2 is just kinda missing that for me
I appreciate all of what you're saying here and I agree. In my previous video I talked about these games feeling yin and yang, and that DD1 is a macro game and DD2 almost entirely micro, but I'm with you that it's still unrewarding to feel like you're pre-planning very little of anything.
I played the hell out of DD1, I played the hell out of slay the spire. Slay the Darkest Dungeon Mountain is a game I am looking forward to playing, even if it doesn’t play at all like DD1.

I don’t like the move to throw away rogue like runs. For now I’m sticking with DD1. No investment or sense of progression besides completing the run. Lair bosses are a start. We’ll see how it pans out in the end.
same boat here. If i want to play a roguelike, Hades is my choice. As i said earlier, DD2 is stricly the same than DD1 without any management, player's agency and consequences. And with no modding tools made for UE5 and the difficulty to create and put new characters and monsters, the future is bleak for the game. I'll stick with DD1, Black reliquary is more interesting for now.
@@E5games I think the bounty hunter would be cool, but I'm excited to see how they drastically change and improve a class like the Antiquarian or abomination. Really though, I just want Houndmaster or Shieldbreaker.
i'm sad i can't play DD2 because it's requirements are way above what my laptop can run (and also i don't play anything on early access, If i'm gonna pay for a game i want a complete package), but i look forward to seeing how it turns out in the end, maybe one day i'll get to build a decent pc for gaming so i can play this.

If you use a Steam service any computer can play any game.
