This is the best start to a season in Luka's career, at least team wise. Most seasons the Mavs are around .500 at the halfway point of the season. I think last year or the year before the Mavs were 19-18 after 37 games.
In Europe we don't look at statistics of player as you do in USA. We just want our teams to be great, so do the players in Europe. I love statistic in NBA, but in Europe we truly don't care about it that much. There is just a different vibe about the games and how we look at them. Peace from Slovenia!
Win lose or draw, I’ve been saying two things and most ex nba players on tv and basketball coaches I talk too in person agree with me …. He’s better for the team if he keeps playing off the ball with a faster player pushing the ball up and him setting screens and running different routes , then getting in once he’s in his spots . Against THE BEST TEAMS ….its not good When he slow walks it up and dribbles it out til a screen comes he gets blitzed and either turns it over or sets in motion events that waste a possession and ruin our rebound8jg position . They have figured it out ….now against the bottom 20-25 teams in the league ? Sure Luka cook them 1v1 it’s what we came to see . The second thing I’ve been saying win lose or draw …. About luka doncic is he needs to put more consistent effort into defense . For every play where y’all show me he’s in the post guarding some forward 1v1 I can show you the very next play where he is a cone in transition or doesn’t close out and the opponent gets a wide open three while he stands in the Dunker spot and watches . They have developed a switching scheme designed to hide luka from getting hunted on defense by the opponents best scorers …..and it seems to confuse lively and some of our wings from time to time exactly what the rules are , especially in transition cuz we give up a lot of perimiter buckets for a team that went to the finals last year . Would be awesome if luka could just stick to his man like glue on the big games so ppl don’t have to come send help or leave a shooter to hedge a drive for him . All that being said , he’s an amazing offensive talent , and it’s nothing that’s a deal breaker or that can’t be schemed around or disciplined out by a good coach . So we have a good coach rifht ? Eerrr nor exactly we have Jason Kidd ,buuuuuut Luckily we have. Great Group of guys who. Are all like family and I have no doubt kyrie and klay have been around and seen enuf to hold luka accountable when he gets into his bad habits and bitchy brat fest mode …..no player is perfect they are humans at the end of the day curry bitches Tatum bitches etc there’s def a bias against luka since he’s not like some typical American family man He’s white/euro He’s arrogant And he’s unconventional and unstoppable. Ppl either love him or hate him .
Those numbers he just pointed out for Luka would be career best Numbers for a lot of players. That’s how you know Luka is truly one of the greatest to play in this league. His numbers take a slight dip and he think it’s the end of the world for him lol lol lol
@@TheGarciaKidd Mavs are going to need some luck to win. Suns have too much offense. Memphis has too many guys to narrow in on. OKC's physicality overwhelm Luka/Kyrie
