Oh my, I almost got conned the same way 😂 but instead of needing a bureau de exchange, the guy approached me while I was coming from the dentist and told me he had gotten matching amounts for izi cards za town where you buy and scratch. We even called the number at the back of the card wakanisho tuende kwa office, karibu na Hilton.
The man had come from outside Nairobi and apparently was scared of going to claim his money coz watu wa nduthi apparently knew he had that card.
I grew suspicious when he asked me to give him my phone and all the cash that I had on me as collateral.
I became suspicious coz the guy had supposedly won 400K, my phone and money on me couldn't have been more than 20K. I knew the math wasn't adding up, and told him to find someone else.
I couldn't allow myself to be conned twice in these Nairobi streets. These people are convincing AF😂😂
