- Do not go abroad for a prosthesis, but get it in Ukraine. During the large-scale invasion, the need for prosthetics for limbs lost in shelling has increased significantly among both military and civilians.

Unfortunately there will be a huge amount of disabled people in their best age after the war ends. Ukraine will suffer a lot,even years or decades afterwards. It's good that this channel also shows the cruelties this war brings to this nation, to the homes, families and the economy, and not only the heroic fight on the fronts. Pictures from WW1 come to my mind with all these poor men, hundreds of thousands on all sides, horribly injured on body and soul.

My brother in law lost a leg at the hip during the Korean War at the age of 18, he never let it bother him, he went deer hunting, he played wheelchair basketball, had 3 sons and even had a job with the U.S. Government during the Vietnam War in aviation resupply!

Thank you for this wonderful inspiring video. The gentleman who said that he didn't want people to help because he had to learn to do things on his own should be listened to by well meaning people. There isn't always going to be someone there to help the next time or the time after that. He has to learn to deal with his disability. My uncle lost his right arm and back in those days the only prosthetic for an arm had only a hook attached to it. He used to say he was a pirate. He also had leg injuries that hadn't healed correctly. The doctors didn't cast his damaged legs correctly and his Achilles tendons healed short because they didn't believe that he would live. They were wrong. He never stopped working to stretch those tendons or learn to write with his left hand. He even went back to working as a plumber. These people have the same drive and determination that my uncle had and that was not to be a burden on his family. I hope that someone watches this video who has the expertise to create prosthetics for people who lost an arm. The new arm prosthetics have come a long way since WW2.

I read that there are plans to even modify cobble sidewalks in Kyiv when the war is over to made it easier for veterans needing wheel chairs or using prosthetics. And then there’s the veteran who said he’d rather live in a free Ukraine with one eye that have both eyes in a Russia world.

Bro, I know how you feel by personal experience. I lost my right leg in 2015 and unlike you, I had to deal with the American Healthcare system, which is entirely GREED based. Forget any kind of therapy, I've had to struggle thru on my own. My current prosthesis was constructed by me using a 3D printer and lots of hardware from a plumbing store. Crude but it works. Screw the $7000 co-pays here in America.
