Hi! What is the difference riding the kite in the different distributor positions? Is it recommended to put it off for wave riding with the new 2023 click bar?

Hallo Kitemana Team ! Are the depower - lines stronger and have a bigger diameter - than the backlines ? thank you ? 👍

Same strength. Only the lower frontlines are thicker. If you have more questions let me know.

No, the power lines are the same thickness as the steering lines, Flite 99 300kg. To me a big mistake, they have been snapping regularly in use. Should have made them thicker and stronger, 500kg+......

Does suicide mode make kitesurfing safer? 2:45

It's useful if you want to do a lot of wakestyle. But you wont be able to drop your kite if you pull the safety

That`s not suicide, it`s semi suicide. Using the safety is still possible like this.

Auto untwisting is vital for me when I do a lot of back rolls and front rolls

Using suicide mode is not just a way to prevent lines twisting, nor making the bar last longer ! And this is not recommended for beginners. Shouldn't you edit your video ?

This info is outdated. I've never seen an issue with the suicide mode for years now. With the old systems, there was a chance, that the safety Ring could hang in the open chickenloop. On the opposite, there are more failures when the kite is directly falling into safety and inverting, looping or twisting lines, after you lost it from the hook.
Other bars have a small rubber at the end of the flag-line. I think he meant that the loose and whiggeling safety-ring causes more wear than the suicide-located ring..
But in your thinking it would be safer to loose the kite anyway :D ;D

@@michaelb.9257 I agree that releasing in suicide mode while hooked in is supposed to work, and I trust Duotone for that. However it is very clearly written in Duotone's user manual that this mode shall be used with caution by advanced riders.
So I'm not sure the "tip" given (at 2:30) for less wear sake only is very wise. Suppose a normal rider follows that advice and for some reason gets unexpectedly unhooked and let's the bar go : the iron heart will be out of reach and the kite won't fully depower. Am I wrong ?

@@kevinmoyse-akigrafsoft- Right, but the kite will depower completely and drop onto the water in about 3 seconds. You also are right, that beginners should'nt use the suicide mode.
