LYRICS
Some call it karma
Some call it fate
Laws of attraction
Take on new weight
I sit in silence
And hope for change
Reckless abandon
Of what we take for granted
Of what we take for granted
No escape
No future
No luck lost on a loser
No escape
No future
Saddle up boys
We're headed for the brick wall
This is a cycle
This is a curse
Divine intervention
Can’t get much worse
Gain some momentum
And cut the brakes
What doesn’t kill us
Will find another way
Will find another way
No escape
No future
No luck lost on a loser
No escape
No future
Saddle up boys
We're headed for the brick wall
No escape
No future
No luck lost on a loser
No escape
No future
Saddle up boys
We're headed for the brick wall
If you’re up
I’m down
If it’s wet
I’ll drown
You can fill your cup
And I’m always gonna pour it out
If you wanna take a ride
That’s gonna kill your night
There’s room for two
And we’re headed for the brick wall
Snake eyes till the day I die
Motherfuckers
Pessimism is a killer
Pessimism is a killer
Let it all burn

This just feels uninspired to me.. a bunch of parts glued together. I get they're trying to diversify and prove they're evolving as musicians by writing more complex pieces, but this doesn't flow right.
I have a feeling it didn't as first for them too, but they kinda got used to it the more they listened to it. After all, it's been sitting on a shelf for quite some time.
If I were to guess the interpretation of the concept behind the album cover art, I'd say it symbolizes a man who had to really push through some really hard times and in a sense "break through the wall of struggle" to make his way towards his divine destiny. It represents the struggle to meet one's destiny. It's a tough road. Sometimes you have to break through to break in.

If drives me nuts when I see people complain of a band changing their sound. Bands change their sound all the time, I find it boring when a band sounds almost the same for their whole career.
YES! Really well said. I feel the same way. I love this song.
Except nobody has a problem with a sound change. The problem we have is that this song is just dogshit. Look at BMTH if you want to talk about "DyNaMiC eVoLuTiOn" (whatever that means anyways).
Just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s an evolution
"no escape, no future, no la croissant, a loser"
i can't not hear it

Holy shit
Fuck off, now its all i can hear🤣
Oh man.. that's it. I'm done reading comments. 🤣😂

Sounds like I'm a tin can screaming into your apple headphones mic while you have them on.
The riff in the chorus is like Parkway Drives "Crushed".

Dudeeeee omggg I was sure I heard that
When he said
“you can’t have any pudding if you don’t eat your meat!”
I felt that
Just as the cover of the album the song is sick as fuck and in a good way. It feels like I walked on the red carpet and passed through this kind of galactic window
So it’s been a few days since the new song and new album cover released and I’m starting to realize why ADTR took all this time to make the cover so perfect. because that’s exactly what it is, perfect. Can’t wait for all the chills and irresistible head banging in this up coming album.
This comment didn't age well. Love ADTR but this album was their softest yet, Last Chance to Dance aside.
2 years later and I still dont like this song at all. Messy af ngl
