    Hi everyone! Just said easy solutions in plastic bases, not need paper or any rubbish just 2 application of this product and work very nice. First one let dry ( take long time ) then apply second over the first and crackel appear very nice. The problem it's take around two days because is very slow

    Does it have to be a paper underneath? A plastic base, primed and painted isnt sufficient? No product description of yours mention this paper base.

      Think they say something absorbent … so paper, wood, cork… a primed / painted covering would lose the absorbency so would probably flake off as demonstrated on “raw base” … so best paint it afterwards though not tried it yet myself

    I bought this, why no instructions?? And it doesnt work

    So you're saying first I have to buy a ream of paper, a pot of glue and a few dozen hours of work affixing paper circles to an army's bases before I can even start applying this...product. Well, I guess I just wasted €6 for a nice paperweight.

    So basically the citadel ones are better because you don't need to put an absorbent surface down for them, big tub, hard work

      Was thinking the same thing. If you are doing this across a whole its going to take forever. I almost wasted my money on this, good thing I watched the video.

      Yeah, putting paper down on every base (especially around my models) isn't remotely realistic. However, the citadel ones are such absurdly bad value with those 24ml pots that run out super quickly for a paint like this, so I don't really want to buy them on general principle.
      Guess I just have to find a different basing theme idea entirely.

    What happens if I spray some matte medium on a non porous surface then I apply the crackle effect?

    • @AKInteractiveOfficial
      @AKInteractiveOfficial  Рік тому +2

      Hi Emanuele, It won´t work since the matt medium layer does not have enough capacity/thickness to create this effect, you would need to use either a thin layer of papel or cork

    Hi! Would it work if I put it over AK Dry Earth, instead of a paper sheet? Also, would they differ in color?

    • @AKInteractiveOfficial
      @AKInteractiveOfficial  9 місяців тому

      Hello, thanks for your comment. Yes it’s possible, but make sure the surface is as smooth as possible. Apply it in a thin layer also.

    Question; How long does it take to dry to the "crackled" effect?? Follow-up; does using a hair dryer speed this along. And thirdly; can I mix regular acrylic paint ( such as black ), to change the color of the paste?? Thank you for your time!

      Mines dried for five hours and no cracks

    • @AKInteractiveOfficial
      @AKInteractiveOfficial  Рік тому +2

      Yes, the hair dryer speeds up the process.
      However, it is important to be careful not to blow off the surface layer, so apply it from a wide distance.

  • @Mushmellowspaceham

    If I didn't use enough on the first layer, can I just add more as a second layer and expect the crackle effect?

    • @AKInteractiveOfficial
      @AKInteractiveOfficial  8 місяців тому +1

      Thansk for your comment.Yes, you can add a second layer on top of the other layer.

    I bought it and I'm very disapointed, I will not cut and glue 100+ rounds of paper for my bases. Money wasted.

    AK should be ashamed of this product. It does not work. When it dries, it just looks like torn paint, not a crackle. Stick to GW for this one.

      Hello, thank you for your comment. We are sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. You need to spread the product well over an acrylic layer and wait for it to dry. We will prepare a video to better show how it works and how you should use it. Thank you

    This product is bad. Citadel is MUCH better. I guess we'll have to keep waiting for a better value product that does even close to the same thing as Games Workshop's stuff.
