Group from Abilene, Texas, USA. Active from 1963 to 1969, the group was originally called The Chevelles and was composed of Joe Baccus (lead vocals) who was replaced in 1965 by Don Nicholas (who was part of the group The Coachmen) who was himself replaced by Tommy Swindle (who will also play keyboard) in 1966, Jack Chisholm (lead guitar, vocals) who will be replaced in 1967 by Stan Smith (who was part of the group The Sparkles), Bobby Vannoy (rhythm guitar, vocals), Jimmy Bearden ( bass, vocals) who will be replaced in 1965 by Tommy Nixon (who was part of the group The Coachmen) and Charlie Taylor (drums) who will be replaced in 1967 by Rick Cobb (who was part of the group The Bloodrock). This music was written for the duo Don & Dewey by Scott Christy in 1958. This version was released in 1965 on the Askel label with the A side "Come Back Bird".
