In Spriggan on Chaos, there's an FC that somehow bought an ***ENTIRE*** ward in Ul'Dah and turned it into something that looks like an actual town. If the interior decorators are doing ultimate, then these guys conceptualised buildings in the first place.
Probably also the kind of player that runs macros on full rotations for out-of-dungeon trashmobs. Why push 7 buttons when you can push one, lean back and enjoy a youtube video. Sure it's not optimized due to cooldowns, but eh, it's just trashmobs.
@@Zidakuh As a free trial fiend myself, I fail to see the use case for this. Outside of Azys Lla and the Hinterlands, out-of-dungeon trash dies in 1-2 button presses anyway. Even if you level sync for FATE farming, the inconsistency of your level makes it pretty annoying to design a macro.
I tried to be a glamourer once. Looked up cool clothing, and when I found some perfect combinations... The items had only been obtainable during a past event.
As a mentor myself now I can agree, most mentors are smoothbrainers based on my previous experience with mentors in the past. When I put that crown on I could swear I felt my brain' wrinkles get ironed out.
I am level 13 right now and I am happy to see Sprouts listed higher than mentors. I am so glad to know that I can just avoid all mentors, not just the few that almost made me rq back to reading a book outside in the sun.

There's two types of sprouts, the sprouts that listen to advice and ask questions and the sprouts that don't know google exists, don't read the tooltip for a single skill and have chat turned off during dungeons/trials/raids. I like helping sprouts out but man seeing a sprout ask where/what to do for every step in a quest chain as a returnee rustles my jimmies a fair bit.
actually, theres one more type of sprout you only come across once in a blue moon... the sprout who, when you give them tips (since theyre playing your main class/role), tells you to screw off and calls you garbage and intentionally does the exact opposite of your tip to spite you
Lol, I remember running all Coils of Bahamut in Savage mode for glamours. And keeping it up with each Expansion or Patch just to get glamour pieces. Having to be savage AF when making room in the Glamour Dresser, endless hours on finalizing Glamour Plates. Plus, Staying up all night to snatch a Mansion in Shirogane for our FC just so I could decorate the Hell out of it. Have my own personal house, and share a house with my IRL hubby, who also plays, just to decorate. Maxed out on housing items, switching decorations for each holiday, changing color schemes or themes, yes.... We are endgame top tier.
I've met one or two mentors who seemed to actually be in it to help new players. One of them doesn't seem to have a life outside of the game because you can pop into the novice network chat at just about any time of day/night going "hey I have a question" and he'll like, pop out of the void to help you.
After getting my first small house, looking at some designs from other people, trying to duplicate a fraction of their aesthetic and failing at it while they have a a large house fully pimped out using god knows how many hours performing the same menial glitchy convoluted method of getting everything in place for like a fucking wall I can now see why they're so high up in the hierarchy god bless their souls.
The fact that Mentors are at the bottom of the list are the best part about it. Forreal, I'm trying to get Mentor for Combat and I hate even having a mentor in my party because they act like stuck up pricks while someone like me knows their shit and is trying hard to help others to enjoy the game that I love. I wore a mentor badge in FFXI, so I figured I'd keep it up in FFXIV. It's not hard to at least be helpful if you see someone struggling, or explain some of the less intuitive systems in the game.

Removing the Noxious Gnash debuff, which wasn't difficult to maintain or punishing if you failed to maintain it. I wasn't affected as much by it myself, but the job feels a little less engaging while Pictomancer is still stupid simple while doing massive enough damage to almost steal aggro while letting the party have a head start in damage.

I'm a sprout. Quit WoW right before BFA and tried to go back somewhat recently, but it hadn't hooked me. Now I'm enjoying FFXIV, running Viera (❤️ Fran) BLM, level 36 right now. I'm on PS4, so I haven't adjusted to talking with a controller, but I read anything people say in a dungeon. I've also been reading and watching videos to make sure I can contribute as well as I can, because after playing WoW since Christmas 2008, I know how much it sucks to have new players standing in fire and not figuring mechanics out, or having any kind of rotation.

Honestly, even as a "sprout" (despite having played for a good couple of months now and doing some of the fun side-stuff other than extreme raids and such): good lord, I have yet to see a mentor that doesn't come across as self-absorved or a clown. I ran the Rathalos EX and was paired with 3 mentors, all of which proceeded to give me some sort of tips on how to fight the boss (granted, I appreciate the thoughtfulness) but at some point I could almost feel like I was a scapegoat for them to give each other tips since they kept dying over and over and over again (in all of this, I only died once to the boss). What a massive clown fiesta it was.
I dont know if i deserve that much praise but as a glamourer i can confirm i have Garland tools on my bookmarks and i check every single item before choosing one, literally going through the market, all raid gear vendors, all tomestone vendors, all GC vendors, all HUNT vendors, Drake, All PVP gear, past event items and even bought a mogstation glam, as a student i barely have time to do ultimate for the glams but i tried to get a group together once, was hard to keep up with the schedule so we disbanded it in the end. Lemme tell ya- its damn worth it, but there is one thing i think every one of us hates- SQUARE ENIX GIVE US BOTH SEXES' POSES GODDAMNIT!

he's not raiding by himself, he just got 24 alt and clear it on different time with different people this game really easy once you pick clear fight 3 times, then everything just autopilot so not that special, just someone who got money and time
I have to admit as a returning player, this is the most lay back mmo I had played in awhile, after playing for about a week, I only yesterday had an issue with a moron that went a little too keyboard warrior with me, I looked at him lol and them leaved the party. But I even had my friend join the game as well, very nice job.
