Surprisingly Skales has one of the best character developments of the show from lieutenant to villains to leader of all snakes and a reliable ally. On that note he's always proved that he was a better more competent leader.
And hey. He’s a pretty good dad.

I wish the Serpentine had bigger roles on later seasons, especially with those that involved other serpentine or similar creatures.
Yeah still disappointed they barely show up in the new seasons.
For a minute I thought all serpentine were male but it turns out scales has a wife now.

Skales! My old chum!
Most people hate season 11, but I couldn't have been more happy to see Skales return! I love how he changed over the course of the show, even fighting on the opposite side of Pythor, his old ally. If Ninjago hadn't been brought back in 2014, Skales would have been trapped in that tomb for the rest of his life
Yeah that’s one of the reasons why I’m glad Ninjago continued after S2.

Tbh, tho they should have focused on all the snakes, instead of mostly the hypnobrai and Anacondrai
Pythor is better, Skales is just a serpentine version of Starscream.

Skales is such a great complex character for a series intended for kids you can understand why he did the things he did he just wanted what's best for his family and his tribe
That’s why I love kid shows that have more complex characters and Skales especially.
I like when villians just give up on being evil and do their own thing.
Really nice video! Skales is a great character in my opinion, I cried when you said "the very same place he burned down years ago" , it brings nostalgia and I'm happy that he changed from a "wanted" to rule is all serpentine to a loving father

Now that you mentioned about where was Skales during the final scene at the Monastery in Crystalized. I think they should’ve put him in the scene since now that he’s on neutral terms, he should’ve helped the ninjas rebuild the very place that he destroyed in the first place. A missed opportunity from the writer’s part
I similarly wonder why the Mailman was absent from that scene as well, along with several others.
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Serpentine in Ninjago.
Out of all the tribes, the Venomari are my favorite, but Skales is by far my favorite character in the show.
It’s a shame they didn’t use him or the other Serpentine that often in later seasons. I mean, as time kept going, they cut out the Fangpyre completely, and reduced the variants of Constrictai, Venomari, and Hypnobrai.
I like Acidicus and all, but he was the only Venomari shown at the end. Oh, they also cut the Constrictai entirely.
I am looking forward to seeing more videos. It’s a shame you don’t have more subs for Ninjago content this great(in my opinion anyway).
Yeah I love the Serpentine too. It would be super cool if Ninjago did an entire season or even a spin-off dedicated to the Serpentine War.

Honestly Skales had an amazing character development compared to other villains we had. It was really wholesome seeing that the serpentine finally got over their fears of the overlord at the end of Ninjago seeing as they came to the aide of the ninja.
I love the thought of scales junior, mimdroid and Nelson hanging out together and getting into hijinks after school. (I don’t think mimdroid is inherently evil, he’s just a mimicer. I like the idea of falcon constantly babaysiting the three of them too. Past present and future, former enemies and friends, qll living together.

As a huge serpentine fan since ROTS I’m kinda disappointed that SKALES didn’t have any voice lines in the final battle of crystallized like cmon dude was like og since the start of the series kinda wish they brought more serpentine tribes into the final battle but I understand that they only have SKALES and Mezmo designs at the time bc most of ther serpentine designs were forgotten or lost in the system

I remember I was SHOCKED to see this schemer and mischievous snake have a pink snake wife and a kid(so quickly) and he was quite adamant in staying where he was. Made me like his character more.

Pythor kind of lost his self respect after season two
I love Skales he is my second fav serpentine behind Pythor and that is because he has an amazing character development and it is pretty exciting to always see him when he shows up and the fact that he was always there since the start of the show makes it better
This show is the reason I love snakes and aren’t afraid of them. In fact, I find them cute, look any picture of them with their jaw closed and they’re f*cking adorable
I wish garmadon had an older female descendant but her mom is an anacondrai cause I hate misako.
Skales went from being a ninjago version of starscream to being a great leader to being the second in command of the entire serpentine to ruling the entire serpentine to having a beautiful wife and son.
Ngl it would have been great to see skales meet pythor and for them to fight each other in that crystallized ending

I confess that when I was little I only watch ninjago because for the serpentines.
What gives the Hypnobrai the right to rule over the others? Pythor is in a league of his own, and quite literally because he was the last of the Anacondrai.
Well the Hypnobrai didn’t really take control, it just so happened that Skales was Pythor’s second-in-command and he wanted to be in charge now that Garmadon was gone. It didn’t really matter that he was a Hypnobrai.
First he’s competent, he’s smart, he wants what’s best for the people and he achieved making Serpentine into one functional and peaceful society. Nuff said.
This Video brought so much nostalgia to me, that is, until the last three minutes where I was asking myself what on earth is going on

This was an Incredible Video for The Origin Story of The Skales. My Sixth Favorite Villain in Lego Ninjago. Skales During The Early Seasons of Lego Ninjago he really reminded me of Starscream from The Transformers Franchise.

I feel like wildbrain needs to make the fangpyre, constricts I and other venomari return because it would be better than just having hypnobrai soldiers as a side characters whilst the other tribes don’t.

The snake character is based on a mythical creature who is half man and half snake and it is from a certain mythology that some of you already know it reminds me of someone I really like I think about them all the time

I know this is old, but I wished the Serpentine had way more involvement in Dragons Rising, all we seen is the hypnobrai where’s all the other serpents surely Skales should’ve survived the merging I’m a lil weirded out we don’t really see a lot of them in the surface, though it be really cool if one of the Serpentine gets elemental powers though.
They are a peaceful society now, it makes sense they don’t want to meddle with surface problems.
@@bruhtnt4258 pretty sure last season and the current one with the merger should’ve said otherwise that the serpentine can’t just live underground no more.
It started with them. It ended with them (until that new season)

I haven’t watched since like season 8 or smthn (season before the omni episodes) but I grew up on the first 2 seasons and wish scales and the serpentine had a bigger role going forward I would’ve watched more if they were

This video really does support the Scales & Pythor divorcee fan idea (light hearted joke). Scales is pretty cool as a chara and his whole arc was fantastic.
Skales definitely has one of the best character arcs in the show.
Most of ninjago villans were serpentines form classic ones to vermilians fire and cristal snakes When i was a kid i used to collect serpentine minifigurines at the time when i stoped colleting them i asumed that i have all the species species but now waching this i realise that the cristal ones are not in my colection I am a grown man but maybe some day i will buy them The favorite characters form ninjago are all kinds of serpentines

Anyone p****d off at how the ninja manage to get the Fang Blades only for Pythor to just steal them back and awakens the Great Devourer anyway? Like what was the point? Its like they shouldn't even bother trying and just let the Great Devourer be awaken then actually get off their seats.
I really hate the whole "You Cannot Thwart Stage One" trope (and how Ninjago abuses it to the extent its annoying and gets old) I guess it works when the villain already has an advantage and is already one step ahead. But when its the heroes usually have the advantage and are one step ahead managed to gain some actual victory and seemingly thwart the villain's plan only for some BS reason or the other the villain's plan still happens making the hero's efforts completely pointless.
