It was weird seeing pagan being so vulnerable in this especially considering what he was like in 4.
I'm extremely happy to see more of him, especially like this
He's by far my favourite 'villain' as he was pretty much the good guy in the whole story, he's done bad things but at heart he's a good guy who got fucked up
Liam Kennedy this. It’s why I always considered Pagan ending the best ending to 4.
@@BassBanj0 him Jacob and Joseph are in a three way tie for me. Pagan and Joseph we're only doing what needed to be done Joseph was right about the nukes pagan was only trying to restore kyrat and the golden path were extremists. They enlisted young children into war and brainwashed them sabal was a liar and a manipulator Jacob seed had been a fighter all his life he protected his two younger brothers from his verbally and physically abusive parents. He served in the gulf War where his spirit was really tested and he killed and ate his mate Miller to survive I believe that was the moment that made him snap but also realise some truths about modern society.
I mean to be fair we really didn't get to see Pagan's side until at the very the end of the game. Far cry 4 having a no fully fleshed out story if you joined Pagan is such a missed opportunity for this series.
@@BassBanj0 have you played this dlc? You wouldn't say that if you saw the stuff in this mode because he is really fucked up he had a happy personality which lures people in for the kill his heart is gone
Pagan: “I can finally be with them”
*slide cancels*
He got that call o' booty senses coming up
He was *TOO* excited to be with them
I loved the references to Pagan's ultimate fate. Like how he made up a grand demise for himself with Ajay by his side and then said the two ways by which the player can kill him as a joke. Also, that recording leaves it unclear as to what happened to Pagan. Only the Rite Of Passage comic confirms that Ajay killed him. But, overall, I think the player decides Pagan's fate. Whether he should spared to live life in peace after Ishwari and Lakshmana or should he be punished for each and every sin he committed on Kyrat.
Or both since I blew up the chopper as he left
Not sure that Rite of Passage is canon. It doesn’t say that Pagan died, but it does say that Vaas did. But in his ending we see him alive... so pretty sure it’s not canon.
Gotta love Pagan. Knew fully well Ajay could have killed him either way and still left that message for you, best uncle. Pagan definitely lives for me.
ngl that whole visions in his mind and personal demon stuff kinda imply he´s alive since, how else would he be having them? a dead brain doesn´t hallucinate, or shouldn´t atleast. and since vaas is alive too, after being "confirmed" dead multiple times.
@@NerzJansch2 I'm under the impression that Pagan is indeed dead and now he's experiencing the Purgatory.
He's not in Hell because the things he damned on others are mostly rooted from coming from a loveless childhood - deep down, he's a boy who didn't have a mother and yearned love. But he's not entirely blameless, hence him being in Purgatory. He's being punished in Purgatory because he could have chosen to do good despite the terrible upbringing and childhood. Until he's learned to see the wrongs he had done and feel remorseful for it, his spirit will be stuck there forever.
Wow did not know pagan had nuclear Arsenal and somehow had long range capability to reach Montana of all places he’s actually more dangerous than I thought knowing that
Uhhhh... Montana is where far cry 5 takes place
@@kymorel1453 and a nukes goes off right there...
@@peacekeeper3227 however this leaves another question: pagan’s dead. The only person to know this is Ajay…
Ajay probably heard that Willis Huntley was there and wants payback.
@@Masterprocrastinator223 i mean, screw Willis. That guy's a jerk
I wonder why James A Woods couldn't reprise his role as Ajay? Absolutely love his voice.
probably had other things he was doing either way i just beat this addon and its fun as hell
I was wondering why Ajay his voice sounded weird. Same with Yuma. Atleast we have Troy Baker thats what is most important i guess.
@@nlrenzo9432 very true!
At least Troy Baker returned as Pagan because no one else can top him
@@nlrenzo9432 troy baker the guy from fortnite!!!! (Im joking im not stupid)
"I did it all for you. Everything...was for you."
Pagan has a lot of funny dialogues said throughout this whole DLC, but this one is the one that felt the most heartwrenching to me.
Yeah but you gotta keep in your mind that this is how he sees himself in the game he didn't really sound bothered when mentioning to ajay that his dad killed his half-daughter
But we will never know how he truly felt about his daughter
Well he did say that he justified his actions to himself saying it was for Lakshmana in Far Cry 4. Like how Ajay killed many saying it was to spread his mothers ashes
@@DrHydra47 We will never know? He literally said he entered in the Lakshmana's place and got out "like this". He snapped. So he got deeply affected.
@@DrHydra47 what's a half daughter
@@jace3728basically meaning half related
I like how the endings to the DLC are named as Leave or Stay, like the song "Should I Stay or Should I Go?", which is played at the beginning (whether Ajay has to stay with Pagan or leave De Pleur's Homestead and meet up with Sabal) and the end (Whether you kill or leave Pagan) of Far Cry 4
2:24 made me feel sorry for pagan…
OK Pagan is actually a really good guy he’s just very temperamental
I mean he was kinda fucked up by what happened to him, you can't blame him atall
I love him because he is clearly not that much of a bad guy, yes he's done bad things but he is a great guy at heart, he cares about people close to him
and bit genocidal
I’m on Pagan’s side from now on.
The golden path? F**k them
@@silashurd3597 I’m still salty that we never got to shoot some damn guns with Pagan…
yeah all those people that where tortured it wasn't pagain it was Paul and Yuma and killed people
When the DLCs end up being more worth it than the game itself
Seriously tho, holy shit, these are some pretty brilliant ways to connect three great games that would otherwise seem entirely different from one another, aside from the occasional side characters like Willis Huntley.
True, I wonder what secrets are being kept in the father dlc
Nonsense, Hurk is the essense of Far Cry, connecting everything!
@@ConradKurze Dude was in primal too
@@sdp640 that was his ancestor
No the main game is more worth it
Once again, I am amazed at the connection between the well-made Far Cry games! ...but I don't think Ajay is the one who used nuclear bombs, I think it was someone else, it might be Sabal or Amita, and also don't forget that in 5 the world was in a state of conflict and global war
Which is an exactly clever scapegoat to use those nukes and mark those nukes sending coordinates from kyrat to north korea.
I have a feeling there is a master to these main bad guys in far cry and I think it's the guy from far cry 1 and 2 since he was a mercenary and all these guys are his puppets
@@tdan6828 the jackal/jack?
Or probably China
Pagan Min is a Triad Boss child with his drug army moving to Kyrat, I'm sure the Chinese Communist Party is aware of Kyrat when one of your top criminals move there to fund a civil war, they kept a close watch on him.
After either Sabal, Amita or Ajay take over
China invaded India through Nepal (Kyrat) and find the nuke pile after subjugating, and use it on the Untied States because they are in a global war.
And for the American This would be the last place they expect a nuclear strike coming from.
It will also connect to the Broken Quiver (Nuclear Weapon Missing/Stolen/Got out of control, it's a military term) that is mentioned by Bowman to Sam Fisher in Ghost Recon Wildlands DLC
And would set up the next splinter cell.
But internal restructuring caused Ubisoft team to royally fuck up the idea and throw off this plot line and splintered it.
As a result we got Far Cry 6, we Got New Dawn, GR Breakpoint and other stories breaking up when they were supposed to lead into each other.
Other key element is Watch Dogs Legion, original concept for Albion is supposed to be Templars (yes the same from Assassins Creed) PMC that is contracted to secure a wartime London instead of what we have today and our player character will hack a nuclear guidance system, they already set up the Templars to be present in Far Cry 3
In Watch Dogs, Aiden Pearce take a contract to hunt down the Abstergo CEO as a side mission, and we see this mentioned in AC Black Flag but Ubisoft fucked up with Watch Dogs 2 by introducing Ubisoft into the universe and removing all mentions of Abstergo, and this was way after the internal restructuring.
There was supposed to be a Nuclear Armageddon plot line to connect all Ubisoft game together
This nuclear Armageddon plot line will lead to the Division and R6 Extraction original concept art, and the original new dawn storyline as well
But it seems we're tying this shit back together with retcons in far cry 6?
I just feel the nukes are a dumb addition for no real reason.
There were only 2 good endings in Far Cry 4:
Waiting for Pagan to return, or siding with Amita and killing her afterwards.
You can kill her after killing pegan?
@@antoniocharbonae8650 yes, same with Sabal, but the Golden Path Soldiers turn into enemies
Amita sends Bhadra (the teenager lumped into their cult) to a butterfly farm, actually she kills her. Side with Sabal then kill him.
Why sabal ending is not good?
@no 🐷👑 Yeah, but doesn't kill Bhadra, unlike Amita.
Its says a lot that Pagan includes Ajay in the family that he dreams of. He may not be good, but hr truly was the better between him and Ajay's father. A mixed up man who who wanted 2 things a family and power, though one more and more seemed like it was him trying to fill a hole in him.
2:17 SHE IS TO PERFECT FOR THIS WORLD!!!
I like how Ubisoft's Far Cry team "Canon the non-canon"
so this implies Ajay nuked Montana in the far cry 5 ending using Pagan's nukes? Holy shit lol.
Edit: just realised this confirms Pagan surviving is the canon ending to 4 too. LETS GOOOOOOOOO.
Edit edit: maybe not lol. Still unclear what happened to him
Kinda pissed at him for that
@@Cyber_Artist I’m sure they’ll explain it properly.
Or…. And I know the tin-foil hat is on here. But Pagan could’ve been the one to nuke Montana, and maybe he framed Ajay. Pagan said he hated America in the recording so it would make sense. We’ll have to wait and see where Ubi go with it.
But why would ajay do this ?
I’m also surprised they were long range nukes considering it reaches Montana from kyrat(Tibet)
I Smell They Will Return In the Next Far Cry Game As Boss Or As An Ally
I feel like this DLC could of been far better if FC4 allowed you to play alongside Pagan Min. Imagine if you could choose which side to be on: Royal Army or Golden Path. The ending for joining Pagan could be using the nuclear weapons, whereas another ending could be Amita or Sabal taking control of the nukes and using them, thus leading into Far Cry 5. This was a great DLC, but it could of been far better if FC4 utilized Pagan Min more often.
And it would still be the good ending considering all the bad thing the golden path did trought the story
@@Fedrix1409 Yeah,Royal family maybe overcruel, but Golden path arent too much better
I’ve always thought this! The secret ending right at the start of FC4 when you wait for Pagan to return to the dinner table, you should then be able to start a whole campaign crushing the golden path.
It gets a bit emotional there with Pagan and Lakshmana, and damn Ishwari and Lakshmana are beautiful
One of the reasons why I love Pagan, it's hard to not see him as the good guy after everything that happened to him
"I love you, and i will be always with you"
- Mom
So Ajay teaming up with Pagan to nuke America in the end of 5. Now I think our Rook and Joseph fucking Seed survived in the bunker is officially canon ending. Fuck.
Well what else leads to new dawn's judge companion
I feel like even if canon they got two separate timelines now. One for the FC5 ending and the timeline where it didn't leading up to FC6
That's been canon
@@dumbsow9420 New dawn isn’t “canon” it’s just an after story after fc5
@@4sad44 I mean I don't see why it wouldn't be cannon for the FC5 timeline.
I'm more thinking different timeline from FC5 and 6
Has anyone ever wondered WHY the missiles were aimed at MONTANA specifically? Now their were probably more missiles sent elsewhere, but why one at Montana of all places?
My theory: A missile (or all) were aimed at Montana to set off a chain reaction of the Yellowstone Supervolcano that is on the southern border of Montana. Causing all of America and possibly even more to die due to the explosion of it.
It’s because we have a bunch of silos in Montana. Likely aimed there to prevent retaliation.
Hope County, where FC5 takes place, is located in Montana. At one of the endings it gets nuked. And this DLC implies the nukes were launched from Kyrat.
If Yellowstone explodes it's all the world that would disappear due to the consequences. It would be like the asteroid that has provoked the end of the dinosaurs.
I like how it says Should I stay or should I go at 07:30
The exact song that plays when you kill Pagan
@@theTrevorluck don’t forget it plays in the Far Cry 4 intro too
A lot of people don’t realize this but the songs used in the intros of FC3 and FC4 are hints at the possible endings. “Should I stay or should I go” in FC4 hints that you have the option to stay at the dining table (for the secret ending) or you can go (leave the table). In FC3 the refrain of the song Paper Planes is repeated multiple times before the game begins “Some I murder, some I let go,” this is literally your two (and only 2) options at the end of the game; either murder your friends or let them go.
Ubisoft : *Create a villain*
Also Ubisoft : *Reveal Villain's dark past*
I feel kinda bad now for Pagan Min
Yeye
What's funny is that we are supposed to feel sorry about Vaas, Pagan, and Joseph even though they still killed so many people.
@@logger22 are you saying that we as players haven't killed more? honestly, the villains probably killed a lot less people than the protagonists, at least with their own hands.
I feel for Vaas tho. I don't have any remorse towards Pagan's death because he was a dictator since he entered Kyrat. Vaas was someone who was manipulated by Citra which ultimately broke him. That's why he's always subtlety telling Jason to not get enamored by Citra.
Mohan Ghale was the real monster here
He married a child bride, abused her, sent her to spy on his enemy, and murdered a little girl
Man fc4 would’ve been so much cooler if ajay fought the golden path alongside pagan. Such a good villain with great dialogue. I hope he makes another appearance but it’s unlikely seeing that you get to decide his fate in fc4
The "hidden" ending is the one considered canon according to ubsoft
Really?, The crab ranggon ending?, Wow Sheeessh
@@ingrid9635 the “hidden” ending that happens within the first 20 minutes of the game ? i was so disappointed by that 😐
When you realise that the Golden Path are the terrorists destroying the country.
I still want another DLC for this where this time Ajay is with Pagan Min fighting the golden path but alas Ubisoft did this instead that which is cool, but not really what most people have in mind.
0:10 Pagan's head moves on the camera but we are facing foward
Literally unplayable
1:18 A literal golden path
Dep: So you were the one who nuked America
Joseph: Well no but technically yes
DLC Pagan: Allow me to introduce myself
Gotta admit that it’s one hell of a coincidence that someone nukes the part of Montana with the militarized nuclear war cult.
Wait what! Is this dlc Pagan slightly gave Ajay hint nuke on America Damn.
Far Cry 5 ending
There is no way Ajay nuked montana he used to work as a soldier in the U.S insurgency plus he doesn't seem like the guy to launch a nuke and blow up a whole country if he worked with a revolutionist group to save a country he doesn't remember being born in. Yet that begs the question who set off the nukes in montana.
@@channel-wt3ffwell probably someone broke into Pagan's underground bunker, stole fucktons of nukes and smuggled to USA.....lazy writing i know, but least it's logical.
@@channel-wt3ff well ajay could of changed whether it be due to the slaughter of an entire army, the power trip of having your own country with nuclear warheads or a hatred for everyone after being betrayed by people like Willis, and seeing everyone in kyrat as monster because regardless of choosing sabal or amita ajay isn't happy with what they do and the fact that his father who he was told was great man by everyone actually shot and killed his half sister just because she was pagans child. Also being a soldier doesn't make you 100% eternally loyal to your country and its people.
@@channel-wt3ff Ajay probably nuked Montana because maybe Willis was there. Jokes aside, it is still questionable if Ajay really did it or probably someone else like Anita.
When Ubisoft wants too they can connect so much together.
One thing that I have a gripe with. Are the health bars on the enemies really necessary? I'm not if they have any actual use for gameplay but they seem to be a bother on the screen. There's a whole bunch of games without those bars and they make it look so much more realistic and immersive. That's how I feel at least.
You can turn them off in game
The UI in the game is actually highly configurable, so you can turn those off. And they aren’t even that meaningful, to be honest, the enemies except for bosses aren’t that spongy
I think it's more a gripe with the video than the game itself. You can turn it of; this one preferred the health bars.
Ajay nuked Montana becouse Willis was there xD
i agree
Same I hated the fucker in every far cry 3 he was alright but I always hate stick up their government officials in game and media who are fine with doing anything as long as it doesn't lead back to them
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH NICE
I like how we now know pegan was involved in new dawn “they are pointed directly to the U.S. Somewhere towards Montana or something whatever” I got caught so off guard I was like “HUH WHAT DID HE SAY”
So that's where the nukes come from.
In all honesty what a disappointing/underwhelming ending for Pagan Min they could of done sooo much more like a secret ending similar to that of Vaas like show Min at the time he left in the helicopter or that secret ending of Ajay staying with him but of course they didn't instead Vaas is such a fan favorite character that he deserves to cheat death and survives some how getting stabbed multiple times that of course it's for fan service just get fans excited about the future. Like give Pagan Min some love, him and Far cry 4 are my favorite
So is he dead or not?
Citra organised and faked Vaas's Death.
But yea Pagan is the best Villain IMO in the series. I think he is one of my favourite characters just in General. Also I don't get this video. It says 3 different endings But I only saw one...
That's the point tho since you can choose his fate in the end of far cry 4 the ending of this dlc was made to be vague like the end recording when he said "I'm dead.. or I'm on vacation"
The problem is Vaas' death in FC3 is genuinely ambiguous. You were high as fuck when you fought and appeared to "kill him" and by the time you woke up his body was gone. But in FC4 you have the option of chasing after his escape helicopter and shooting it down and examining the body afterwards, which is not so easy to retcon into Pagan surviving.
wow Ajay s mother look exactly how I imagined
Ok so we know there are nukes in kyrat.
First question did they go off? (Was a no-er when 6 came out but they brought up the nukes implying their importance)
Second question who set them off? (Could be Ajay don't know the why, could also be vaas and his plan he was talking about, or maybe all these games have been leading to a grand story)
I didnt know that Pagan Min dlc exist till I got recommended by it and honestly I like how they actually made a joke and somewhat let the people theorize on his fate during FC4, whether he got killed during the table scene when he lets the player decide to shoot him or not or go to the shrine with ajay and leaving with a helicopter (two choices ofc whether ajay let him be or shot with an rpg). So basically what im saying is that pagan min's death is rather a mysterious one since its up to the players decision than vaas straightforward reveal that he's been "killed" by the player but in reality he's alive and chilling in the beach. I hope he'd make a brief appearance in future FC as a triad member or the leader of the triad (since he revealed in his past that before becoming a king in kyrat, his family is part of the triad)
I wish they made a DLC for The Jackal
Far Cry 4... good times...
I really think pagan was a slept on villain, to me he was just a tragic character like how vaas I genuinely sympathized with pagan
Troy Baker's minor voice acting as Mitchell contrasts with Pagan Min, or even Yamato too.
"leave, stay, and secret ending" *only shows one fucking ending*
lmao I was confused too
I'm pretty sure Ajay didn't fire those nukes, one reason is because he had no reason to, other being that FC New Dawn is probably not canon
Every far cry since 3 has had kind of a non spin-off somewhere near it’s release before a new mainline game
3 - Blood Dragon
4 - Primal
5 - New Dawn
6 - ???
New Dawn is fucking canon for fuck sake.
@@newfacepaula Read the fandom
@@newfacepaula big man using F bombs to assert dominance. Unfortunately, it's as canon as Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and Ubisoft confirmed it (unless they retract it again?). Only way to certain is when Joseph's arc comes and see his side and whether which time line is considered canon.
But of course you WILL angerily point out how right and perfect you are because why the hell not?!
@@ZonnexNecton Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon was a Movie in Far Cry 5
What I’m disappointed about this dlc is when you unlock pagans suit for Dani to me it’s a little downgraded but it’s a good reward. It could’ve been better though. At least you get to play as pagan.
I want Shangri-La tiger as a amigo.
I wish they would've included an ending which was based off the crab rangoon secret ending in the original game.
I like how Pagan has it pointed at Montana, meanwhile The cult there also has some type of nuclear weapon
Ajay used the nukes in the bad ending of Far Cry 5.
So the reason the nukes start showing in Far Cry 5 was because Ajay uses them in the bad ending of Far Cry 5... basically Joseph Seed knew about those and if you pick the bad ending well... the nukes go off. Crazy how the games tie together
Why do you think it's ajay? It could have been Amita or Sabal.
@@arandomguy-kl3ph I have a theory that doesn't fit but what if Joseph had one of the golden paths who was in America be infected with the blessing and then used him to blow up Montana, or maybe amita or sabel betrayed Ajay and blew up Montana, cuz Ajay blowing up the country doesn't make sense, unless he actually agrees with pegan
It literally makes no sense for ajay to ever want to nuke America. There is no motive anywhere! This is the same with Amita and sabal which both make no statements in wanting to take out America.
the nuke ending is not the bad ending, thats the canon ending. far cry new dawn confirmed it, far cry 6 is a direct sequel to new dawn
Should I stay or should I go?
Who wouldn't stay with Pagan, I love the guy
Nice reference
So it was Pagans missiles that hit America in Far cry 5.
Daaanngggg, at least we now know where those nukes even came from
Finally, something that fits nicely with FC5's ending, which always bothered me. The two main possibilities I always heard was that Joseph Seed had his own dirty bomb ready to go when he deemed it time to self-fulfill his own doomsday prophecy, or that if you paid attention to background details the world was already on the brink of nuclear war. Neither of these options sat with me either because it just didn't make sense or it just felt like bad story writing. By that I mean either Joseph just had this big McGuffin just waiting in the background or the writers pull a "the world was set to burn anyway nothing you did in the game mattered in the end" which always annoys me.
I still don't like that FC5 doesn't have a "good ending" (and no, walking away is not a good ending. You still leave the entire town at the mercy of the cult and the nuke would still kill them all in the end anyway) but at least this helps tie the events of FC5 to FC4 making it not feel as random.
I'm playing new Dawn rn and it's soooo wierd knowing ajay and the golden path causer all this and that Joseph was right all along
So Montana was nuked by Ajay?
Then he may be more violent than Jason Brody
Funny thing In my first play...I never intended to kill Pagan, I don't know, he could kill Ajay in many time, but no, he isn't. After the ending I knew he is better man than Amita and Sabal.
I'm gonna say that after Pagan disappeared, Ajay inherited all of Kyrat and ushered a new age of peace. Becoming the only King. Also gonna say that because he was inexperienced as a leader, it was either Amita or Sabal, that manipulated events, and given how the world was in conflict and global warfare was real, it was either Amita or Sabal that fired the nukes at Montana, it couldn't have been Ajay he isn't the type to just fire nukes whenever he wants.
I believe it's more of a tying up loose ends in the first timeline. Perhaps providing some questions that weren't answered until now.
So, ajay was the one who nuked Montana? And also when he cut out do y’all think that was from Ajay blowing up his helicopter?
I would say he didn't make it in the chopper be a bit hard to get the remains of the tape. But he probs made it during ajays last charge in the final mission the cut off is probs just him accidentally hitting the button
This is how the nuke ending happened in fc5
Vaas was a fucking awesome character but definitely wasnt a villain, just a troubled mind. Pagan was this fucking charismatic bond villain no other farcry villain can challenge

The Canon ending of far cry 4 is actually waiting for pagan min to return, if we consider this theres no way in hell ajay could overthrown a whole country while having 0 knowledge in fighting, pagan and ajay just become friends
"0 knowledge of fighting" he was in the US army I believe before the events
Pagan thinks he can live with a perfect family like shown in the dinner table with ishwari, lakshmana and ajay but the reality is far from that you're playing as the pagan that has the redeeming traits but ignores the fact that "his" good story never happened nor will happen in which good pagan is in denial while his counterpart the "tyrant" embraces the bad things and the regrets that have happened through his life saying that's OK
At the end pagan fight was with himself trying to get over the fact that he'll never have what he imagined a perfect family
At the end I guess he accepts the truth that his family is gone and the way he kept them in memory some of them were also wrong
