Agreed. I like the Shang Chi based on his look in the 70s comics. Other than Spider-Man: NWH, Shang Chi was my favorite movie in Phase 4. The action sequences were very aesthetically pleasing. Would love to see an Iron Fist cameo in the movie, but my own headcanon was that Danny and Luke formed the Heroes for Hire during the blip, because people needed.. heroes for hire.
I really enjoyed it too but it would’ve been excellent if they just focused on the father son dynamic and cut the entire sister arch that slowed the plot down like a sloth climbing a tree. The good is extremely good though, won’t say there was anything particularly bad outside of dumb ass Marvel humor and another sky beam fight scene in the end. Movie just needed more focus on what was truly good.
@@brycebirkinbine4119I think marvel needs to cut down on the cringey humour. Thor 4 was so cringe I couldn't take gorr's drama seriously or sympathize with the character. What could of been a good story was overwhelmed with non funny humour for Thor 4
Shang Chi is a Top 5 Marvel Project for me. It sort of devolves into the cliche 3rd act lull, giant CGI monster battle. But the introduction to the character and the world building are great. Bus scene is one of the best fight scenes in Marvel history.
As much as I'd love to see Shang-Chi 2 (as it's been 3 years already) or Thor vs Hercules (definitely want to finally see that battle!), Doctor Strange 3 will pick up with what is relevant at the moment: incursions. It just makes sense to me.
I was skeptical for the first Shang-Chi, but I loved it. Can't wait for the second one! I wish Iron Fist would've been better, but I'll still watch anything Iron Fist in the future, my favorite hero.
As much as I want it, Shang-chi 2 isn't really a priority like Dr. Strange 3 to the bigger story being told. But whenever they do get it done, I really would enjoy using him to set up some kind of Defenders type team
I really don't want to see anyone as Iron Fist other than Danny Rand, hopefully leading to Heroes For Hire. I'm reading through Power Man and Iron Fist now, and it's possibly the best thing Marvel has ever done. It has huge potential to be a great buddy movie or TV series.
Doctor Strange 3, I think, would be a higher priority simply because Doctor Strange (and Wong) has had such a large presence in the Multiverse Saga, not to mention that cliffhanger that is directly tied to an Incursion, a concept first introduced in the Multiverse Saga. If Thor 5 truly is Chris Hemsworth's last solo film, I'd rather they take their time with it, but I can also see it coming before Secret Wars to really sell us on weather or not he's going to die in that film. Originally, I wanted Shang-Chi 2 to come out before Avengers 5, but looking at the slate now, I think it's better saved for the next Saga. We know that there are a couple of empty slates after Secret Wars, so maybe Shang-Chi 2 could take up one of those post-Secret Wars slates, similar to how Spider-Man Far From Home was the first post-Endgame film.
