Wow! He looks identical to a model I put together over 20 years ago. I must get this guy!! did you get him in a store? On-line?? My town is about 1 month behind large cities. But he'll be worth the wait. Highbrow is my favorite Headmaster, now it looks like he'll be my favorite movie vayager as well. Great review! Now we just need a P-40 and B-17 and I'll be content.
Well, at least you know what a P-38 should look like and pointed out this doesn't quite look like that. It looks like an amalgam of two or more aircraft, the Lightning being one. Kinda also see a Granville Brothers Gee Bee in there. Aside from a massive nacelle in the center of the fuselage it's about right for the Gee Bee with the placement of the cockpit well back on the fuselage and the fact that it tilts down as you go towards the cockpit. Wish it looked more like just the P-38 or Just the Gee Bee..
Haha kinda off topic but spada, did u hear what the next sentia series is based on hahahahahah if u haven't go find out now I was peeing my pants when I did xD
David Hill A lot of old planes have that. The guns are timed to shoot between when the propellers are spinning so that they don't shoot the propellers off.
'Nice' placement of his guns on the wings. He would shoot his own propellers to smithereens! The design should have placed them further on the tips of the wings.
A lot of early planes had guns set before the prop, they had timing chains from the engine to the firing mechanism, which stopped them shooting their own props off!
"Guns were behind the propeller fail design" It's based off many World War era planes that positioned the guns behind the propellors. There was no failure in the design; it was carefully planned and engineered.
@@legoawcstopmotioner9435 Correct. This is why World War-era planes had guns timed with Synchronization Gear, so that the guns would shoot between the propellers. One of the chief reasons for positioning the gun directly behind the propellor, is because the gun would sit directly in front of the pilot; he would aim the plane to fire where he wanted. However, in order prevent the propeller from being shot, Synchronization Gear technology was developed.
It's based off many World War era planes that positioned the guns behind the propellors. Because it fired in tandem on a timing chain, the gun would fire in between the propellers as it rotated; it was carefully planned and engineered.
The arms are unforgiveable. It completely ruins this figure.Great alt mode but doesnt make up for the lousy robot mode.It also needs more paint apps.Kind of looks like a knock off.
Impressive. The Lightning is my favorite plane to play as in Strikers 1945, one of my all time favorite Shooters.
The central fuselage is a homage to a P-47, I adore the combination of the bane of the Germans and the bane of the Japanese. Looks amazing
I've seen this video many times. This. Is one of my favorite videos from balt.
love the robot head, amazing looking figure, my life is complete now.
Great homage to the original Headmaster - he's a 2-prop WWII aircraft, a bit like the Osprey-looking alt mode for the '87 figure.
WOW, Crossairs is him!! :O
Why does he remind be of Crosshairs from AOE.
Chicosaurus23 i know!
Maybe Highbrow was intended to have jetfires role in Rotf, then turned down. They probably used the head on crosshairs, which was a good choice.
It's a clash between P-38 and some of the planes from the good ol' PC game Crimson Skies.
The plane mode. It looks like a cross between a P-51 Mustang and a P-47 Lightning. The Mustang part in in the middle.
It's p37 lightning
P-38
He does look cool
highbrow is the coolest i might get him on Saturday and try to transform it because it looks easy
I must have this one. He would be cool to write into fanfiction
Wut?
*ONLY HIGHBROW HUMOR HERE*
I always wondered way planes like that could shoot though the propellers without hitting them....

Interesting plane but the offset fists are just too weird
Not gonna lie, I Googled the P38 plane and this toy (in my opinion) looks way better than the real thing!
they should also create a ww2 b-25 mitchel ,frickin awesome, hasbro needs more ww2 planes!
He must have been one of the Seekers along with Jetfire.
very good model =D
Still, missing the eyebrows like his predecessors.
And Incenerator from 2007 toyline has nothing on him.
At first when he was transforming it into vehicle mode i thought it was going to turn out like an x wing off starwars lol hahahah
@Gripen90 actual he is cross of a World War II-era fighter resembling a cross between a P-38 Lightning and an XF5U "Flying Flapjack".
middle section needs to come forward so that the cockpit is between the wings.
this is awesome man
Did you forget the battle mask part I was just wondering if it was on the toy they would sell?
he has a battle mask feature too
Looks like a steampunk version of a p38
It's p37

wheres is his autobot sign ??
I knew it was a P-38!
Should voyager class highbrow be in Studio series
So. He's not a head master for HFTD?
btw, were can i get 1?my my lil bros birthday is in 1 week
where did you get this figure because i looked on toywiz and i couldn't find the figure
Love the alt mode. HATE the bot arms... I haven't made a decision yet.
@BrickUnion758 Wait was Is it based on?
his alt form is sweet
Cool
@IXRollOutIX yaa it is hahahah its going to be a lil weird for me.. who would win,a ninja or pirate?? it will be a contrediction!!
Haha kinda off topic but spada, did u hear what the next sentia series is based on hahahahahah if u haven't go find out now I was peeing my pants when I did xD
Maybe the propeller is a shield
The propeller is in the way of the guns
David Hill A lot of old planes have that. The guns are timed to shoot between when the propellers are spinning so that they don't shoot the propellers off.
crosshairs brother
They need to bring out more world war II transformers!
its awkward how the cockpit is reversed
@piemanbegins yes
He sounds an awful lot like optibotimus
@75tffan yes he dose

That makes more sense. Still sounds risky to me, though!
Balthazar They did it for two decades before jet engines replaced props. Not one reported case of a plane shooting out its own engine
@@OtakuUnitedStudio Problem is, those were lewis guns, not vulcans.
autobot or decepticon?
Autobot
this is a autobot
@jpf4u atleast now im one step closer! :)
Does this thing have high eyebrows
can I have highbrow
Guns were behind the propeller fail design
But good figure

Those guns on the wings are rather unfortunately placed.
What do you mean?
@@DPXEntertainment They're right behind the propellers.
@@legoawcstopmotioner9435 Yes, correct.
What is your issue about it?
@@DPXEntertainment Shooting up the propellers isn't very ideal.

I prefer Powerdive to this one.
If you are looking for a badass figure ____ __ __! fill in the blanks
I never seen this figure! God I hate living in Indiana.
the tighter the better ;D
face looks like rattrap
You enjoy ww2? You love it? 🤨🧐🤔
that aint no p38,thats a p38 on crack that some1 shut the hangar doors on,for god sakes, get it right hasbro!
You forgot it's part shit.
@Biofan813 pirates hahahahah
@meowsers450 ut you haven't found the meaning of life yet
The placement of those miniguns on the plane mode makes no sense at all, he's going to shoot his own propellers off.
