This is going to be invaluable for when I build it. Looks absolutely fantastic. Is there a rat line maker included in the kit or did you make them out of cardboard for preference? Again fantastic job. Greetings from Canada.
Very nicely done. The lighting is most effective … though might have been easier if you had used miniature capsule LEDs rather than the strip variety? Excellent job on the rigging … it makes a tremendous difference to the final effect and I know from experience how challenging it is to get right. The use of the fine copper wire is a good choice. Personally, I have never been too sure how best to handle the vacuum formed sails … they never quite look right to me !! … I always found the best compromise was to dirty them to make them look more “used” … also has added benefit of enhancing any moulded texture to make the sailcloth look a little less like moulded plastic … it’s a shame that alternative “furled”sails are not provided to offer the option of being under sail or not. For a stand mounted model, I think I would prefer to display it with the sails furled … having said that … it looks magnificent in your display case!
Thank you for your comment and suggestion, since I can found out some smaller LED lights few months ago, I started using on my model ships For example as this video "SS ORIANA 1/500 A Cheap Liner Model Made in China Unbox & Built Up" ua-cam.com/video/xKyQQgcyT1E/v-deo.html
