Hey Ken my bud, what a fantastic review was this. I've already ordered this one with slip cover after watching your review and rating. So, thank you my friend for entertaining my request. I must honestly say, I was little tensed what you'd think of the movie, but was glad to hear that you liked it a lot as I hoped for. Also thanks for mentioning me in the video, though wasn't necessary but still appreciate it. Literally, I've become huge fan of the way you put English language to use, you have mastered it to be able to juggle with the words with such ease to convey the hard problems of life, that's so intricate and deep. Love your presentation style and always in anticipation of the final takeaway (your interpretation of the underlying message) from the movie I wish lots of folks out there recognised the power and wisdom in your reviews. Anyway one absorbs something according to their mind's capacity, curiosity, attention and appetite. For being attentive you need a quiet mind, an 'empty mind' if you will, to see, hear and feel something new. Mostly people are already preoccupied with some thoughts, inner anxieties, insecurities and their routine life's problems, taxes, bills, insurance, savings and so on, so it's hard to have a room for letting anything to draw in. I read your brief biography (omg, what a person of high order and establishment you are and I can't believe I have a direct access to reach you though this channel, albeit, access to you is above my paycheck, lucky me, lol) I will be reading your thesis (book) soon ( right now I'm travelling, away from home). Alright my friend, it's always fun to engage in a dialogue with you. p.s.: I'll highly recommend you the movie to watch called 'Immortals' (2011, Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, John Hurt, Luke Evans, Dir: Tarsem Singh). You can get the Bluray release. Spectacular, exotic, plenty, of life's wisdom to ungraduate into 😉
Thanks Sas! I think you give me more credit than I likely deserve with my vernacular 😉 my mind often moves faster than my mouth lol. I agree with ALL aspects of what you said…essentially you’re describing “stillness.” There is a book I once read titled “Stillness Speaks” by Eckhart Tolle. His work on ego is impressive. “The Power of Now” was a life changing book for me. Always appreciate your thoughts here. I take them with great weight and measure. I think I’ve heard of “The Immortals” so I’ll look to see if I can get the bluray and check it out. As for the book, it might have to be ordered or Amazon U.S. - that may be why you’re only seeing kindle / audible. If you’re unable to get a physical copy, I have lots of extras I’d be happy to send you. Just let me know 😉 Lastly - yes…Gran Turismo was much better than I’d thought it would be. You’ll enjoy it!
Yes, I know Eckhart Tolle, and his book 'The power of now'. He, Jiddu Krishnamurti (aka 'Jk', 'K'), Alan Watts are of similar league. Btw, you might like Alan Watts' 'Conversation with Myself' | Essential lectures of Alan Watts (YT channel name: Audiobooks For Free). It's a short video of about 27 minutes or so. A life changing perspective. Highly Recommend. I'll be able to order the book from Amazon US. But thank you for your kind offer my friend, appreciate it.
This was in my Top 10 4k's from last year. Such a good movie and 4k.
I definitely slept on this film giving it zero credit thinking it was simply a “video game” based movie. Man was I wrong…great film and great 4k
