Y'all have no idea how fun it is being a gun nut and pausing every frame to try and figure out which specific firearms they're using. I know I saw an AR, a Galil, and an AUG. I think I saw a L85 as well. Whoever made this knew what they were doing. Also, seeing the forward assist on the AR used the way it was meant to be used was both so heartwarming and saddening because every professional will tell you that if spring pressure isn't enough to chamber a cartridge, either the ammo is crud or you need to replace the spring. For the longest time the Air Force, who got AR's before the Army made "suggestions", refused to buy AR's with forward assists because the rifles they got worked just fine without them!
Speaking from experience. The need of the forward assist is needed rarely. With a M16A2, I only needed the forward assist when the bolt carrier didn't close completely due to sand and oil in the chamber. The forward assist helps force the bolt closed to fire a shot. Be careful because the first several shots will blow out the sand and burn up the oil. Afterwards it started firing fine.
I saw the t91. Aka the ar look alike in that fire fight. There is no forward assist on it yet it can have issues with bolt bounce. Mine has had some issues in the first two mag that could have been solved with a forward assist

I agree. I would like characters to utilize the weapons in realistic and practical ways. Instead of always full auto with minimal recoil. I do understand that with animation it would be too much work and cost too much; or the creators/animators/directors don't understand real weapons. So creative liberty is taken. M14 fired full auto uncontrollably at 0:59 then with no recoil at 1:15 20 rounds of 7.62x51mm would be out, less than 3 seconds. the jamming issues with the M-16 were caused by politicians who wanted to cut costs even if it meant ignoring the rifle specs. They forced in crap gunpowder and inappropriate materials on top of deciding it didn't need any maintenance. once they started building the rifle as intended and actually cleaned the damn thing, it worked pretty well.
I wish Girls Frontline would adapt the story into proper anime like this in near future (after the chibi-fied anime a la Carnival Phantasm we're getting)

It is hard watching when live action movies do improper weapons handling. I can turn a blind eye to anime logic and guns most of the time. One thing that always gets me is when characters put their finger on the trigger when they're not ready to fire. I feel that most of the entertainment industry doesn't understand how guns work, and write/create based on anecdotal stories.
