I think it's just a little different where Fenty did all those foundations shades, kylie is just doing lipstick which there are lots of different lipstick shades out there already for all skin tones and many price ranges. Of course it's great that she was thinking about skin tones but I don't think it's the same. There is also the possibility that she could've meant skin tones by what undertone you have e.g. Warm, cool, neutral, as that will also change how the lipstick looks, but I'm not sure exactly which part you are referring to so I'm not saying that's definitely what she meant

@@lucyallen6624 Actually being Latina my skin color goes from medium tan to light dark throughout the year and with all 3 shades I go through in 4 seasons I had a journey to go through for the perfect nude lip especially during summer bc the product will make my lips look powdery and weird from being to bright or the undertone being too pink, when nudes with warm undertones looked natural and better. Company's that claimed nudes looked good on anyone was upsetting bc when opening it would look dark enough for me but trying it on it would actually look really bad and if I had that issue I can only imagine someone with darker skin than me when it came to lipsticks.
